Job Title: Social Media Marketing Lead
Role Summary:
The Head of Social Media will lead the PhonePe Group's social media strategy across all platforms and business units. This role involves building thought leadership, enhancing corporate reputation, guiding social media teams within various businesses, and keeping PhonePe ahead of the curve in the social media landscape. This is a highly collaborative role that requires close interaction with various stakeholders across the organization. This is a hybrid role — part strategist, part operator — where you will lead a growing team, oversee creative execution, manage influencer partnerships, support crisis comms, and ensure measurable growth through organic and paid efforts. Your focus will be on leading the creation of an insight-led, real-time, platform-native social media content engine that supports the entire marketing funnel.

- Reports to: Chief Marketing Officer (CMO)
- Dotted Line to: Head of Corporate Communications
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy for the PhonePe Group, encompassing all business lines and platforms.
- Build thought leadership and enhance corporate reputation through strategic social media initiatives.
- Guide and mentor social media teams within the different business units to ensure alignment with the overall group strategy.
- Stay abreast of emerging social media trends, technologies, and platforms to maintain PhonePe's leadership position.
- Manage and optimize the social media budget across content, community, partnerships, and tools.
Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:
- Collaborate closely with the Marketing Team leaders, Creative and Design Team, Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), Customer Experience (CX) team, and Business Heads.
- Work with the Head of Corporate Communications on amplification, reputation management and crisis communication strategies.
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication and alignment.
Technology and Automation:
- Drive the adoption of technology and platforms to automate social media management and listening.
- Implement tools and systems to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in social media operations.
- Leverage data and analytics to measure performance and optimize strategies.
- Leverage analytics tools (e.g., Sprinklr, Brandwatch, native dashboards) to track KPIs, benchmark against competitors, and derive insights.
- Use sentiment analysis and listening to shape messaging, guide campaign development, and proactively manage reputation. Proactively contribute to insight generation through social media listening.
Employer Branding:
- Support and enhance employer branding initiatives through social media platforms.
- Showcase PhonePe Group's culture, values, and employee stories to attract and retain talent.
- Collaborate with the HR team to develop and execute social media campaigns for recruitment and employee engagement.
Specific Business Support:
- Provide strategic social media guidance to the PhonePe app, Share.Market, Pincode, and Indus platforms.
- Develop tailored social media strategies for Consumer Payments, Merchants, Lending, and Insurance businesses
Qualifications:
- Extensive experience in social media strategy, content creation, and community management.
- Proven track record of building and scaling social media programs for large organizations.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
- Experience in driving technology adoption and automation in social media management.
- Passion for employer branding and employee engagement.
