Job Title: Infrastructure Engineer (Hyderabad or Pune) 

Corporate Title: Commensurate with skills and experience

Purpose of the role

As an Infrastructure Engineer, the candidate will be an integral part of a team and have a diverse technology background to support, implement, and maintain all aspects of the corporate IT environment. This includes, at times, both user support and backend systems.

A successful candidate will provide support, analysis, recommendations for improvement, and help drive initiatives to completion. The engineer will engage in strategic planning and tactical activities to continuously improve and meet business needs.

Responsibilities and duties (include but not limited to)

 

• Implement and support technologies for the corporate IT environment.
• Manage assets and support employees within the local India offices.
• Design, deploy, and manage Citrix VDI solutions, ensuring efficient performance and stability.
• Liaising with multiple stakeholders across all areas of the business on a daily / weekly basis keeping all informed regarding issues and solutions
• Create, contribute, and maintain a working knowledge base and document issues that are conducive to knowledge transfer.
• Ensuring scalability, high availability, security, and reliability are delivered and maintained to all relevant internal and client systems.
• Continuous Improvement via performance analysis and optimization, capacity management, problem management, and incident management
• Participate in weekend on call coverage rotation.
• Perform and manage any special projects/tasks assigned.

 

Education, Skills, and background (incl. Education and Experience Requirements)

• 5+ years of working experience as an Infrastructure engineer managing various technologies relevant to the Corporate Technology stack.
• Technologies will include but are not limited to: Desktop Virtualization and Server Virtualization, VPN Solutions, Windows Server Administration, Microsoft 365, Linux Administration.
• 3+ years’ experience with architecting and managing Citrix Solutions environments with Virtual Desktops and NetScaler VPN
• 2+ years of user desktop support experience
• Proven ability to work effectively independently and within a team using own initiative.
• Excellent communication skills; clearly convey information, excellent writing / documentation skill
• Ability to multi-task and change priorities as needed
• Professionalism to support a 24/7 production environment
• Drive, passion, commitment, and attention to detail

 

Preferred

• Solid experience in automation and scripting languages (PowerShell knowledge preferred)
• Experience with designing and implementing Windows Active Directory environments
• Project management experience

 

Working Arrangements

This is an office-based position located out of our India office. Though travel may be required from time to time, it is not expected to be regular or frequent. The role holder will be expected to work whatever hours are necessary for the performance of this role (recognizing that it involves multiple jurisdictions / geographies including but not limited to APAC, USA and EMEA).
