Summary

We are seeking a Graph Engineer to join our Knowledge Graph Intelligence team, which focuses on developing applications for investment operations. As a Graph Engineer, you will be tasked with harnessing the power of graph technology to revolutionize our data analysis and enhance the intelligence of our operations. This role is designed for someone who is deeply engrossed in graph databases and is adept at uncovering insights from intricate datasets. As an essential contributor, you will be instrumental in developing and refining graph-based solutions that bolster our strategic initiatives, particularly in support of investment operations. Your efforts will be key to advancing our data-driven decision-making capabilities, employing Anzo among other graph technologies to achieve superior analytical outcomes.

What you’ll do

• Spearhead the development, maintenance, and optimization of graph database solutions to support front office initiatives, improving data analysis and intelligence.
• Work closely with investing teams, data scientists, and analysts to transform complex business needs into scalable, graph-based models and applications that enhance decision-making processes.
• Enhance the performance of graph queries and algorithms, ensuring the delivery of fast, accurate insights for front office strategies.
• Lead the integration of diverse data sources into graph databases through effective ETL processes, guaranteeing high data quality and consistency for investment analytics.
• Keep abreast of emerging trends in graph technology, evaluating and adopting new tools and methodologies to stay ahead in delivering cutting-edge solutions for our investment teams’ needs.
• Offer expert advice and mentorship on best practices in graph database design and development, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation within the team.

 What’s required

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of professional experience with graph databases, with a strong preference for individuals with Anzo expertise.
• Experience in graph query languages such as SPARQL, Cypher, or Gremlin, with a keen understanding of graph theory and algorithms.
• Experience with Python and its application in developing efficient and scalable graph processing pipelines and algorithms.
• Demonstrated experience in data modeling, ETL processes, and data integration, with a solid grasp of both graph and traditional database technologies (e.g., SQL, NoSQL).
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of managing complex projects and delivering innovative, effective solutions.
• Outstanding communication skills, with the proficiency to engage collaboratively with cross-functional teams, particularly in aligning with investing teams’ operations and objectives.

The annual base salary range for this role is $135,000-$175,000 (USD) , which does not include discretionary bonus compensation or our comprehensive benefits package. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things.
