A day in the life:
- The Data Ops Strategist plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and accessibility of our data infrastructure. You will be the first line of defense for troubleshooting and resolving data-related issues, providing timely and effective support to internal and external stakeholders. This role demands a unique blend of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a customer-centric approach.
Responsibilities:
- Provide Tier 1 support for escalated issues related to Looker Data Studio reports, performance pacing sheets (reports), Google Tag Manager, and other tagging discrepancies.
- Implementation and audits of GA4, GTM, and marketing pixels
- Troubleshoot and resolve data discrepancies, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
- Assist users with navigating and interpreting data visualizations and reports.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address data quality issues.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of data management best practices and industry trends.
- Document and communicate troubleshooting steps and resolutions effectively.
Role Requirements:
- Strong proficiency in Looker Studio, Google Tag Manager, and Google Sheets.
- Strong knowledge of data collection best practices (event naming, campaign and UTM tracking)
- Understanding and ability to implement server-side tracking and technologies
- Solid understanding of data visualization principles and techniques.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Technology).
- 1-2 years of experience in a data support or analytics role.
- Hands-on experience with data visualization tools and web analytics platforms.
- Familiarity with data management and quality assurance principles.
