Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist

Position Summary:

 

This role is responsible for sourcing, screening, interviewing, testing, and referring

applicants for assigned positions throughout the company to include active participation

in programs and infrastructure related to the recruiting process. Can be primary liaison

with Hiring Managers to execute timely, quality hiring.

 

Essential duties:

• Develop relationships with emphasis on treating the business and candidates as

customers and maintain open, consistent communication

• Take action to ensure smooth and effective collaboration with Hiring Managers

• Perform internal and external research as needed to troubleshoot and influence

• Develop and execute recruiting strategies and build a pipeline of talent for future needs

• Source potential candidates for job openings ensuring position requirements and

expectations are assessed. Identify, engage and convert passive job seekers (LinkedIn,

social media etc.)

• Facilitate interview process, offer management, reference checks and handoff to

onboarding

• Partner with 3rd party vendors

• Champion referral program and ensure timely administration

• Create and maintain recruitment collateral to build employment branding, including design

of careers website, write recruitment ads

• As assigned, lead recruitment initiatives across business unit(s)

• As assigned, lead or participate on project teams to develop and recommend TA

optimization processes, resources or tools

• Educate internal partners on process and related technologies

• Establish and maintain cultural alignment with the business you support and peer HR

partners

• Analyze activity and results resulting in showcasing wins and acknowledging required

course correction with plan of action

• Achieve and maintain positive feedback from others

• May supervise or mentor junior TA team members

• Other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications

 

Minimum required:

• 7+ years related recruiting experience

• Associate degree

 

Other required:

• Full life cycle recruiting experience

• Recruiting system user (e.g. Taleo, Greenhouse, Lever, Workday, Newton, iCIMS)

• Ability to work in the grey (happily), pivot as needed and multi-task

• Ability to adjust & self-run schedule to address coverage across different time zones

ensuring customer satisfaction

• Working knowledge of labor legislation, policies and procedures

• Validated history and skills to include but not limited to; listening, problem solving,

insightful, results focused, influencing, negotiating, attention to detail, dedicated,

confidence, self-awareness & course-correction, marketing, target driven, relationship

building, strong written & verbal communication, judgement, time management, resolute,

teamwork/collaboration, inventive, integrity, reliability, credible, and consistency

• Positive, Can-do, Self-aware, Willing to acknowledge mistakes & course correct,

Accountable, Resilient, Resourceful, Believes in service to others, Enjoys time to work

Preferred:

• Recruiting in Pharmaceutical/Life Sciences

• Bachelor’s degree

• Lead recruiter for a business unit (e.g. capture requirements, craft plans,

educate/influence partners regardless of level, vendor management, design/re-design

interview process, assess & package results etc.)

• Focus on hiring for marketing communications and advertising agencies recruiting in the

pharmaceutical/life sciences space (client facing, billable roles).

• Direct sourcing (vs relying on 3rd party vendors); to include recruitment marketing and

social media, web-based recruiting tools, social media, and niche job boards

• CRM user (Avature, Smashfly, gr8people etc)

• Proficient with excel (pivots) and PowerPoint; technical skills, analysis and story-telling ability

• Committed to continual learning and self-improvement

• Master networker
