As our Public Relations team expands in New York City, we are looking to hire at the Account Executive or Senior Account Executive level. Our PR team drives impactful media coverage across earned and paid channels, partnering with trusted expert spokespeople to deliver relevant, education-based storylines that resonate with key target audiences.

Essential Account Executive duties include but are not limited to:

  • Act as day-to-day lead on key accounts.
  • Work with senior team members to build account PR strategy and execute on all tactics linked to client objectives.
  • Apply understanding about client’s line of business (eg, medical specialties, target customers, products) in discussions with client and internal team.
  • Manage the workflow of all assigned accounts to ensure jobs are on track and completed accurately.
  • Contribute to development and finalization of client materials, including press releases, talking points, bios, press kits, professional/trade media pitches and related items, in conjunction with the writing team.
  • Assist with strategic advisory and guidance to grow client visibility.
  • Develop strong relationships with key professional/trade media members.
  • Communicate agency’s point of view to clients with clarity regarding the value of process strategically and tactically.
  • Supervise daily monitoring of news/trends/issues relevant to clients and the broader landscape; builds client-facing media reports.

Essential Senior Account Executive duties include but are not limited to:

  • Act as day-to-day lead on key accounts.
  • Assist in the development and execute both strategic and tactical PR plans based on client goals and objectives.
  • Monitor overall job progress and proactively manages client expectations.
  • Manage project implementation to ensure it remains on strategy.
  • Show expertise on a client’s business and market environment (eg, target customers, technology, competition, issues, and trends).
  • Review approach for potentially difficult conversations with team lead and effectively starts to troubleshoot issues that arise with accounts.
  • Have and maintain strong rapport and trust with client contacts, trade media, and industry personnel.
  • Assist with periodic check-ins with client to obtain feedback on agency performance.
  • Help meet established revenue goals.
  • Actively engage clients in discussions about future communications needs/agency opportunities.
  • Develop sound understanding of agency experience and full range of agency capabilities.
  • Promote, when appropriate, other agency services to clients.
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • 2 - 5 years agency or in-house PR or Healthcare Marketing/Comms experience.
  • Proven ability to execute programs that have met and/or exceeded stated metrics and analytics.
  • Must have strong writing ability – preferably AP style.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and manage large work flow within time constraints.
  • Must possess strong work ethic and thrive in a fast-paced dynamic work environment.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work as a team player are critical.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills are necessary.

Precision is required by law in some states or cities to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to: skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Precision, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. This role is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, health insurance, retirement savings benefits, life insurance and disability benefits, parental leave, and paid time off for sick leave and vacation, among other benefits.

Reasonable estimate of the current range

$50,000 - $85,000 USD
