As a Digital Strategist you will be responsible for the overall health and management of all things digital and interactive, including, but not limited to: process development and execution, team education, strategy/business setting and continued education of technical and interactive knowledge. Equally responsible for developing and executing innovative, timely and profitable strategic and tactical programs to clients. Responsible for integrating digital into current agency best practices across all departments. Client facing day-to-day lead for a number of East and West Coast clients.
Essential functions of the job include but are not limited to:
Strategic Thinking
- Participates and supports translation of strategy into the digital brand experiences, ensuring initial strategy is maintained in final product or deliverable. This all comes together in crafted POV documents, web analysis decks and strategic imperative sheets.
- Develops creative solutions as it relates to the digital customer experience, brand communications and CRM channels. Recommendations are developed in a web plan
- PowerPoint document that is owned by the Digital Strategist.
- Recommends ways to use digital customer behavior and performance data as a research tool and presents finding in a research audit PowerPoint.
- Involvement in ad-hoc ideation/ innovation activities within business unit
Thought Leadership
- Understands and stays up to date with digital technology, especially digital health and digital marketing
- Effectively uses customer and brand knowledge to write digital strategies and POVs; including new digital, social and mobile channels of communication to create more relevant connections between customers and the brand.
Teamwork and Collaboration
- Educate the internal team on the media and marketing opportunities they afford and influence client investment in these channels; including working knowledge of back-end platforms (CMS, etc)
- Optimizes the strategy and creative product from experience working with digital media partners (internally and externally)
- Is the digital champion, helping educate the internal team and clients on new digital advertising/marketing opportunities and keeps tabs on breakthrough work in the space
Results Orientation
- Leads team to establish appropriate measures of success and criteria for judging
- performance, especially for digital channels
- Develops and reports digital performance metrics, both organic and paid, through
- collaboration with media partners
- Leads developing metrics and analytics insights/reports for clients
- Organizational Development
- Embodies the “digital/mobile first” mindset of the agency and helps instill it in others
- May be required to support new business activity
Client-specific Expertise
- Analysis and reports on the customer’s path-to-engagement, especially at digital, social and mobile touchpoints; uses this framework to present and recommend digital strategies and tactics
- Articulates digital media targeting strategies based on customer behavior-based segmentation
Qualifications:
Minimum Required:
- Bachelor degree
Other Required:
- May require travel domestically including overnight stays 1-2x year
Preferred:
- 4-5+ Health Care and Digital/Interactive
- Digital Strategy/development
- Metrics and Analytics Reporting
- Experience with audience research and user behavior tools and resources
- Social Media Community Management, Reporting
- Strong understanding of all things digital including but not limited to digital marketing, media, technology, metrics and analytics, social, mobile and CRM efforts.
- Microsoft Office, Google Analytics, Tableau
