Warehouse Manager

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing a team dedicated to the efficient management of warehouse operations. This role involves directing activities related to the receiving, shipping, stocking, and control of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) materials and products across multiple warehouse locations. The Warehouse Manager ensures that the storage, planning, control, and distribution of materials meet company objectives and customer requirements.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  1. Warehouse Operations Management:
    • Direct and manage warehouse team activities including receiving, shipping, stocking, and controlling GMP materials and products.
    • Oversee operations across multiple warehouse locations, ensuring efficient planning, storage, control, and distribution.
  1. Performance Metrics and Reporting:
    • Establish and monitor key performance indicators for customer service, inventory accuracy, and inventory turnover.
    • Report metrics to leadership and present findings at Sales & Operations Planning meetings.
  2. Issue Resolution:
    • Lead the resolution of receiving issues in collaboration with Procurement, Quality, and Manufacturing teams.
  3. ERP Transaction Auditing:
    • Audit and verify warehouse transactions in Sage X3 ERP for accuracy and compliance.
  4. Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs):
    • Develop, update, and approve departmental standard operating procedures to ensure consistency and compliance.
  5. Quality Systems Management:
    • Create and manage workflows in Quality Systems, including change controls, CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions), and document revisions.
  6. Regulatory Compliance:
    • Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local warehousing and shipping regulations.
    • Stay informed of legislation and advise management on necessary compliance actions.
  7. Security and Safety:
    • Implement and monitor security procedures and protocols to safeguard warehouse operations and inventory.
  8. Cycle Counting Program:
    • Own and manage the Cycle Counting Program to maintain accurate inventory levels.
  9. Warehouse Maintenance:
    • Plan and implement new design layouts, inspect equipment, and manage repair and replacement requisitions.
  10. Inventory Control:
    • Conduct physical inventory counts and reconcile with data in Sage X3 ERP.
  11. Professional Development:
    • Maintain and enhance technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing industry publications, and participating in professional societies.
  12. Material Handling:
    • Perform material handling duties as needed to support daily operational priorities.
  13. Team Contribution:
    • Contribute to the team’s overall success by accomplishing related tasks and supporting team goals.

Secondary Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal customers and vendors.
  • Manage the disposition of GMP materials in conjunction with Quality Assurance.
  • Implement and adhere to safety procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with current regulations in consultation with Facilities and Quality teams.
  • Attend departmental and company meetings as required.
  • Complete all training requirements.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education/Training: Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Licenses: Valid driver’s license.
  • Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in warehouse management and inventory control, including at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Skills/Abilities: Knowledge of ERP systems and GMP warehousing preferred. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, along with good computer proficiency.
