Global Process Owner, Procure-to-Pay (PTP)

About Us:

As a high-growth committed to operational excellence, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our team as the Global Process Owner, Procure-to-Pay (PTP). This position is critical in driving process standardization, automation, and compliance while enhancing operational efficiency across our Accounts Payable (AP), Vendor Master Data (VMD), Travel & Expense (T&E), and Payments functions.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Procure-to-Pay (PTP) Process Ownership:
Oversee the end-to-end PTP process, ensuring seamless coordination between Procurement, Accounts Payable, Vendor Master Data, and Payments.
Drive global standardization, automation, and process optimization across all PTP functions.
Act as the key stakeholder in SAP implementation, ensuring alignment of PTP processes with system capabilities and requirements.
2. Accounts Payable (AP) & Payments Management:
Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and reconciliations across all entities.
Manage the payment lifecycle, including batch processing, compliance with banking regulations, and fraud prevention controls.
Collaborate with Treasury to optimize payment strategies, cash flow forecasting, and working capital management.
Lead issue resolution and exception handling for AP-related escalations.
3. Vendor Master Data (VMD) Governance:
Define and enforce VMD policies, data quality standards, and approval workflows to ensure accurate vendor records.
Oversee vendor onboarding, changes, and compliance checks in alignment with risk management and regulatory requirements.
Drive automation and digitization in vendor data management to improve efficiency and accuracy.
4. Travel & Expense (T&E) Process Oversight:
Develop and maintain T&E policies and compliance frameworks, ensuring adherence to company guidelines and regulatory requirements.
Monitor T&E spend, reimbursement processes, and expense audit controls to prevent fraud and ensure policy compliance.
Identify opportunities for enhanced automation and improved user experience in expense reporting and approvals.
5. Controls & Compliance Leadership:
Design, implement, and maintain compliance frameworks across AP, VMD, T&E, and Payments.
Ensure adherence to SOX requirements, internal policies, and external regulations.
Proactively identify and mitigate financial and operational risks within PTP processes.
6. KPI & Performance Management:
Establish and oversee key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the efficiency and effectiveness of PTP processes.
Utilize data-driven insights to drive improvements and enhance decision-making.
Prepare and present performance reports to senior leadership, identifying trends and optimization opportunities.
7. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Leadership:
Partner with Finance, Procurement, IT, Compliance, and Treasury to drive end-to-end PTP process enhancements.
Lead and mentor global teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Serve as the PTP subject matter expert (SME) in strategic initiatives, system implementations, and policy changes.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (advanced degree or certification such as CPA, CMA, or PMP preferred).
8-10 years of experience in Procure-to-Pay, Accounts Payable, or Finance Operations, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
Proven expertise in PTP process transformation, automation, and SAP implementation.
Strong knowledge of AP, Payments, Vendor Master Data, and T&E processes.
Experience with compliance, controls, and risk management in a global organization.
Analytical mindset, problem-solving skills, and ability to leverage data for process optimization.
Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a track record of driving cross-functional collaboration.
