SHOULD YOU ACCEPT THIS CHALLENGE...
The Corporate SRE team is seeking an expert Principal DevOps Engineer to deploy, support, and secure technical infrastructure in a hybrid on-prem and public cloud environment. You’ll assist in the day-to-day operations as well as have opportunities to build new infrastructure and automations.
- Maintain, optimize and secure Windows and Linux servers
- Expand the use of containers and serverless technologies in our environment
- Contribute to maintaining and securing Active Directory
- Monitor systems to meet or exceed the goals for application uptime and reliability
- Establish and maintain pipelines for IaC and software delivery
- Interact with other teams to assist in troubleshooting, identifying root causes, and providing technical support when needed
- Collaborate with other teams on solution engineering related to infrastructure, CI/CD and release management
- Participate in the development and regular testing of backup, disaster recovery and business continuity solutions
- Contribute to documentation on infrastructure and procedures
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BRING TO THIS ROLE...
- BS or BA in Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent experience preferred
- Expertise with Linux administration in an enterprise environment
- Expertise with Powershell, Python, Bash or other scripting languages
- Experience working in an enterprise VMware environment - vSphere, ESXi
- Solid public cloud experience with AWS, Azure, and/or GCP
- Solid experience with Windows Server and Active Directory administration in an enterprise environment
- Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools
- Security minded approach to all aspects of systems administration
- Experience working in a highly engineering focused environment
- Inquisitive and innovative technological interest
- Outstanding customer focused communication and relationship soft skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication with proven documentation skills
- Ability to communicate clearly by email, teleconference, or other methods deemed necessary to perform job responsibilities
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple high priority project deliverables
- Vendor management and engagement experience
- Active and relevant certifications a plus
- Experience with Cisco UCS and Intersight is a plus
- Experience with enterprise storage administration is a plus - Pure, HP, Nimble etc.
- Experience using Splunk as a user and/or administrator is a plus
We are primarily an in-office environment and therefore, you will be expected to work from the Santa Clara, CA office in compliance with Pure’s policies, unless you are on PTO, or work travel, or other approved leave.
The annual base salary range is: $181,000 – $272,000.
Salary ranges are determined based on role, level and location. For positions open to candidates in multiple geographical locations, the base salary range is reflective of the labor market across the applicable locations.
This role may be eligible for incentive pay and/or equity.
