THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
The ideal candidate is a self-starter and problem-solver, skilled at leveraging technology and data to deliver top-tier analytics solutions. They thrive on addressing complex business challenges and are consistently effective in making high-judgment decisions at a rapid pace, even in the face of ambiguity and uncharted scenarios. This role will play a critical part in improving efficiency, reducing costs, and enhancing the overall customer experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Data Collection and Management: Gather and consolidate logistics data from various sources (e.g., Warehouse Management System (WMS), Transportation Management System/Freight Management System (TMS/FMS), ERP, e-commerce platform) ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
- Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) and dashboards to track and visualize logistics performance across various areas, including warehousing, transportation, delivery, and inventory management. Create regular reports on these KPIs and provide actionable insights.
- Logistics Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of logistics data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement. This may include analyzing shipping times, delivery rates, invoicing data, warehouse efficiency, and transportation costs.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline logistics processes, automate tasks, and improve data quality. Collaborate with logistics teams to implement these improvements.
- Ad-hoc Analysis: Respond to ad-hoc requests for data and analysis from various stakeholders within the logistics and broader e-commerce teams.
- Collaboration: Work closely with logistics managers, warehouse staff, transportation providers, and other stakeholders to understand their needs and provide data-driven support.
- Data Quality Assurance: Implement data quality checks and procedures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of logistics data.
- A/B Testing: Partner with the Storefront team to run various A/B tests to improve conversion,reduce contacts or improve cost
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field
- 4-7 years of experience in data analytics, preferably in an ecommerce setting.
- Proficiency in Excel (including advanced functions, pivot tables, and macros).
- Experience with SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker, Looker preferred).
- Familiarity with WMS, TMS, and ERP systems is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and draw meaningful conclusions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively present findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail to ensure data integrity and the reliability of analyses.
- Experience working in the e-commerce industry, particularly in a logistics or supply chain role, is highly desirable.
- Understanding of logistics principles, processes, and best practices.
