This opportunity is ideal for someone who understands military exercise operations, takes ownership of complex planning activities, and enjoys collaborating across mission-focused teams.

What You'll Do

  • Plan and coordinate JOMIS participation in military medical exercises throughout the planning, execution, and after-action phases.
  • Maintain integrated exercise plans, including planning conferences, schedules, milestones, deliverables, assigned responsibilities, and operational dependencies.
  • Develop concepts of operations (CONOPS) and supporting planning materials in collaboration with military and technical stakeholders.
  • Partner with training environment engineers to establish exercise data and scenario requirements, including injects and data-seeding specifications.
  • Organize execution schedules, personnel coverage, backup assignments, and operational handoffs to support live exercise activities.
  • Serve in primary or backup exercise support roles when needed, including participation in domestic and overseas planning conferences and exercise events.
  • Lead after-action reporting, document lessons learned, and coordinate follow-up activities with training and technical teams.

What You'll Bring

  • At least four years of military exercise planning experience, including work with relevant joint exercise planning processes and products such as Joint Event Life Cycle (JELC), MSEL/MESL, and Globally Integrated Exercise (GIE) activities.
  • Professional familiarity with JOMIS products and their use in military medical operations.
  • Experience developing exercise plans, coordinating operational activities, and preparing planning documentation.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with military stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
  • An active U.S. Government Secret security clearance.
  • Ability and willingness to travel worldwide to support planning conferences and military exercises.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting Joint Staff J7 or military Service exercise programs.
  • Background supporting military medical exercises, including Ultimate Caduceus, Global Medic, or comparable events.
