VP, Experience Strategy

YOUR ROLE:
The Vice President (VP), Experience Strategy is responsible for helping drive the continuous improvement of the strategy craft and talent, feeding creative thinking and innovation to advance the agency’s work.
The VP oversees a data-informed, holistic view of the client’s business, category dynamics, cultural intelligence and human behavior across the ecosystem to ensure teams design creative solutions that deliver incremental value to brands and the people they serve.
This position partnering closely with UX, Creative, Marketing Sciences, Technology, and Business leads to develop brand services, digital platforms and experiences people welcome in their lives.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Help provide inspirational leadership and guidance to the Experience Strategy department; help nurture a cohesive, supportive, and highly effective team of freethinkers.
- Partner with Business leads to crystallize desired business outcomes and return on investment; interrogate solutions to generate hypotheses and uncover insights that will increase the effectiveness of each new iteration of the work
- Drive deeper understanding and insights into what matters to people and how to calibrate the brand to the changing cultural landscape.
- Collaborate with Marketing Sciences to target behaviors and understand motivational drivers of behavior that will result in more effective strategies.
- Collaborate with Creatives, Technologists and User Experience teams to ensure innovation springs from a deep knowledge of human behavior, and a hunger for what might be possible across the media and technology landscape.
- Oversee the strategic outputs that underpin creative solutions and in-market program effectiveness,
- Adopt an agile design approach; partner with creative leads to help craft original and effective connections between people and brands
- Define the touch points, relationship between touch points, content, timing / frequency / cadence and other rules surrounding the experiences people interact with across the ecosystem.
- Help evaluate the latest sources of insights and market data as well as syndicated research in order to help ensure teams always have access to best-in-class intelligence
- Oversee research into human behavior across the journey and the design of connected experiences that facilitate behavior change.
- Help with prototyping, testing and optimization of the work.
- Recruit, review and develop direct reports, providing for their professional growth and ensuring high levels of engagement.
- Maintain healthy and collaborative working relationships with other disciplines that bring out the best in people and their work.
- Contribute to ongoing informal and formal agency forums to inspire fresh thinking and stimulate debate
- Help develop unique agency Points of View based on client work, or areas such as human behavior, designing brand experiences, technology, and media
- Contribute to organic growth initiatives and new business opportunities.
SKILLS and EXPERIENCE:
- 15+ years’ experience in digital and direct marketing/advertising with at least 5 years CRM experience
- Able to architect holistic brand strategies and feed creative solutions from inception to in-market
- CRM craft skills with a capacity to apply them in innovative ways across touchpoints, including digital / interactive media, and direct; highly competent at conceiving communications plans and content strategies that play out across complex ecosystems
- Able to distil down complex challenges and disparate information into clear, compelling stories; able to surface insights and inspire highly effective, lateral solutions.
- Able to apply human-centered design methods, and behavioral science principles
- Excellent people and team-building skills; ability to thrive in a collaborative, agile environment
- Able to use research data and analytics to inspire and inform solution design
- History of success writing and presenting to senior marketing leaders
- Creative thinker and problem-solver with a passion for great work.
EDUCATION and OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s or higher degree in the behavioral / social sciences, arts, media, marketing or related fields. Masters Degree preferred.

RAPP's current hybrid model is designed to enable in-person connections and collaboration that is core to our culture, while also supporting flexibility for all employees. As such, we have the option to work from home two days per week, if we'd like.

This range is specific to Dallas and multiple factors are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to: skill set, experience and training, certifications; etc. This is an exempt position.
