Manager - Enterprise Sales
Razorpay was founded by Shashank Kumar and Harshil Mathur in 2014. Razorpay is building a new-age digital banking hub (Neobank) for businesses in India with the mission is to enable frictionless banking and payments experiences for businesses of all shapes and sizes. What started as a B2B payments company is processing billions of dollars of payments for lakhs of businesses across India.
The Role:
This role is a key driver in enabling Razorpay’s merchant ecosystem to leverage loyalty and rewards for customer acquisition and transaction growth through issuance of Gift Cards. The ideal candidate will focus on merchant sales and hunting, securing partnerships across industries to expand the rewards ecosystem. This role requires experience in forging strategic alliances, driving P&L ownership of rewards, and executing go-to-market (GTM) strategies for issuance.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Identify, engage, and onboard merchants across diverse industries, including E-Commerce, Retail, Fintech, Travel, and Quick Commerce, to expand the rewards ecosystem.
- Own the GTM strategy for Gift Card issuance, driving adoption of discount offers, gift cards, memberships, reward points, and cashback solutions.
- Actively hunt for new business opportunities and negotiate commercial terms with key merchants to drive revenue growth.
- Manage end-to-end sales processes, from lead generation to closing deals, ensuring seamless onboarding of merchants.
- Monitor sales performance and reward redemptions, taking proactive actions to optimize merchant engagement and transaction growth.
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders to maximize the distribution and sales of merchant rewards across publishing channels.
- Design and implement tactical rewards campaigns for banks, fintechs, and payment networks to increase transaction volumes.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including Product, Finance, and Operations, to ensure seamless execution of merchant partnerships and campaigns.
- Track and analyze key business metrics to optimize performance, improve deal structures, and maximize revenue potential.
Mandatory Qualifications:
- 6 - 8 years of experience, with at least 4+ years in Partnerships, Business Development, or Sales roles focused on merchants.
- Proven track record of sourcing deals, onboarding partners, and driving merchant-funded offers to increase sales and transaction metrics.
- Strong experience in merchant sales, hunting, and GTM execution within payments, rewards, or loyalty programs.
- Exceptional project management skills with the ability to handle multiple time-sensitive projects and priorities.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills to drive engagement with marquee merchants.
- Data-driven mindset with strong analytical abilities to monitor performance, optimize campaigns, and maximize revenue.
- Strategic thinking with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and ensure business alignment.
- Willingness to travel and meet merchants, banks, and partners to drive sales and business development.
