Lead - Banking Operations

In parallel, Razorpay is reimagining how businesses manage money by simplifying business banking (via Razorpay X) and enabling capital availability for businesses (via Razorpay Capital). 

The Role - The Team Lead will be overseeing our Banking operations for merchant onboarding. You will lead a team responsible for ensuring the seamless onboarding of merchants while adhering to compliance, KYC, operational efficiency, and service excellence standards. Your ability to manage processes, mentor team members, and collaborate across departments will be critical in driving the success of merchant onboarding operations.

Roles and Responsibilities - 

  • Merchant Activation
  • KYC documentation check for all onboarded merchants
  • Checks on the MDR/Subvention/Providers as per the Category.
  • Monitoring of the MDR/Subventions periodically and ensuring zero loss
  • Working and sharing requirements to get the processes automated for minimal manual intervention
  • Supervising coordination with banks to get the merchants onboarded on all approval-based payment options within the TAT.
  • Ensuring compliance on the MID/TID for all approval-based payment options.
  • Overall ensuring activation within agreed service and quality level
  • Supervise and ensure 100% delivery on service TAT and Quality needs
  • Able to manage cross-functional teams and dependencies to get the service tickets closed within accepted SLAs/TATs
  • Supervise a team

 Qualifications:

  • 5 - 7 years of work experience in Merchant Onboarding and KYC process.
  • Working with a payment gateway and team handling experience will be an added advantage.
  • Bachelor's degree.
