Real Chemistry is seeking a Managing Director of Social Media to join our dynamic and rapidly growing team. This is a pivotal leadership role that will shape social media strategies to drive impactful outcomes for our healthcare clients in an evolving landscape.
The Managing Director will be a forward-thinking, digitally savvy strategist who can harness the power of digital and social media to amplify our clients’ messages and advance their goals. This leader will ensure our team remains at the forefront of new technologies, capabilities, and regulatory changes that impact our work.
This is a hybrid role, based in any of our US offices—including New York City, Boston, Chicago, Carmel, or San Francisco—or remotely within the US, depending on team and business needs.
What You’ll Do

Spearhead the digital and social media strategy, identifying opportunities to integrate cutting-edge tools and platforms.

Act as an agency thought leader, representing Real Chemistry in client meetings and industry forums.

Anticipate shifts in the industry and proactively position our team to lead in digital and social advancements.

Drive the development of campaigns that leverage omnichannel strategies and deliver a cohesive message across all client touchpoints.

Command high-stakes meetings, confidently presenting strategies and new initiatives to clients and senior stakeholders.

Serve as a trusted advisor to senior clients, providing strategic guidance and helping them make informed business decisions.

Partner with global and cross-functional teams to ensure seamless client service and integration across geographies.

Build, mentor, and inspire a high-performing team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and professional growth.

Identify and pursue growth opportunities within accounts, working to expand the agency’s digital and social offerings.

Champion data-driven decision-making, leveraging analytics to optimize campaigns and demonstrating the value of our work to clients.

What You Should Have:

Proven ability to develop and execute sophisticated social media strategies, from global programs to localized executions.

Expertise in developing compelling pitches and presentations for new business and growth opportunities.

Experience integrating research and insights to create powerful, data-driven strategies that support media planning and execution.

Extensive experience in healthcare/pharma digital media, with a thorough understanding of relevant regulations.

Proficiency in tracking, analyzing, and reporting on paid and organic social media performance.

Ability to partner with performance and paid media teams to develop robust measurement plans that optimize program impact.

High energy, adaptable, and capable of navigating a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.

Exceptional presentation and workshop facilitation skills; adept at leading internal and external discussions with clarity and confidence.

Highly organized with a strategic mindset, strong prioritization skills, and a keen attention to detail.

Strong leadership skills with experience managing multiple direct reports and mentoring emerging talent.

Skilled at forecasting and resource planning to drive efficient team operations and support business growth.

Confident in managing upward communication and providing strategic counsel to executive leadership when necessary.

Ability to drive and shape team and agency culture.
Pay Range: $240,000.00-$290,000.00
This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on job-related, non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, skills, certifications, and geographical location. Working with Real HART: Since the pandemic, we have adapted to how our people told us they want to work. We have office locations in cities in the US, UK, and Europe with many employees and clients that serve as hubs where and when they need us. For employees who are within an hour of one of our offices, we expect attendance in the office two days per week, either at a Real Chemistry office or onsite with clients. We are also actively opening new office locations, so if one opens near you, our Real HART policy will apply. We are not looking for attendance for the sake of attendance but believe that the opportunity to coordinate in-office team meetings, 1:1 meetings with managers, taking advantage of on-site learning, and connecting with client partners is a critical to delivering on our purpose of making healthcare what it should be. Outside of these offices, we have regions, where people work remotely but come together quarterly for collaboration, culture and learning opportunities. We call this our Real Hybrid and Regional Teams (Real HART) approach.
