Who we are looking for
As the Cadonix Director of Finance, you will report directly to the VP of FP&A (Corporate) with a dotted line to the Cadonix General Manager. You'll lead the finance and accounting function, ensuring accuracy, accountability, and efficiency while refining processes to professionalize the business and mitigate risk. Beyond managing the numbers, you'll translate financial data into actionable business intelligence and foster strong partnerships across all levels of management. This role requires a highly motivated "roll-up your sleeves" professional who can balance daily financial operations with special projects crucial to our company's growth.
What you get to do
- Drive strategic financial planning and execution as a key partner to the Cadonix GM to achieve organizational objectives and rapid growth
- Lead all aspects of GAAP compliance, internal controls, and annual audit/tax compliance initiatives
- Oversee the implementation and optimization of accounting systems and processes
- Manage the month-end close process, including reconciliations, journal entries, and variance analysis
- Develop and maintain rolling forecasts, annual budgets, and long-range financial planning models
- Oversee core financial operations including AR/AP and cash flow optimization
- Develop comprehensive financial reporting infrastructure with management dashboards tracking critical SaaS metrics (ARR, MRR, churn, LTV, CAC, and retention) to drive business decisions
- Manage relationships with external financial partners
What you bring to the Team
- 5+ years of dynamic accounting experience with specific SaaS industry exposure
- Proven expertise in U.S. GAAP, particularly ASC 606 and SaaS revenue recognition principles
- 4-year Undergraduate Degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA strongly preferred)
- Proven track record scaling finance operations in high-growth SaaS environments from venture to commercial stage
- Hands-on experience with SaaS metrics, unit economics, and industry reporting standards
- Experience with multi-entity accounting and international operations including multi-currency transactions
- Strong technical competence with advanced Excel skills and accounting systems implementation
- Strategic thinking balanced with hands-on execution capability in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional leadership abilities with experience developing high-performing teams
- Outstanding communication skills to translate complex financial concepts for non-finance partners
- Strong project management skills with consistent deadline adherence
- Strong leader with a proactive, "whatever it takes" approach who thrives in entrepreneurial environments while maintaining strict confidentiality and integrity
- Experience as an independent, multi-faceted finance leader in venture-backed companies with ability to build systems from early-stage through commercial scale
