Resonate seeks a strong Sales Engineer to partner with Sales Executives and represent the technical capabilities of our first-of-its-kind marketing analytics platform as well as best in class data delivery. You will be a key influencer in establishing the credibility of Resonate’s data and software in the minds of our customers. 

 We’re looking for a smart, strategic, highly productive and self-motivated sales engineer with a track record of success supporting Sales teams responsible for selling Software and Data solutions to brand marketers.  We love people who share our entrepreneurial spirit and reward individual initiative to help propel the whole team forward.  

The Sales Engineer (SE) will be the primary sales technical support resource responsible for representing our: 

  • Proprietary data and the implementation of said data to client ecosystem as needed
  • Survey research methodology, survey design, and data processing 
  • Big Data collection methodology and infrastructure 
  • Competitive landscape and why Resonate is unique and provides superior solutions 
  • First party and third-party data integration capabilities 
  • Broad understanding of data science and modeling techniques
  • Other third-party product integrations which add value to Resonate Analytics

By understanding the prospective customer’s business needs and requirements, he or she will develop responses to RFPs/RFIs, deliver well-crafted presentations to marketers and their executive stakeholders that highlight Resonate’s unique capabilities (data, insights & analysis, technical integrations and activation strategies), and build solutions to match the goals of the marketers and deliver insights.   

Responsibilities: 

  • Support each step of the sales process, from remote briefings to in-depth in-person working sessions with senior stakeholders at leading brands, agencies and media companies
  • Collaborate with the sales team to provide technical expertise and support during the pre-sales phase, including conducting needs assessments and developing project parameters.
  • Facilitate client conversations around data and modeling techniques.
  • Use data to enhance business outcomes and deliver value to clients.
  • Create and deliver technical presentations and demonstrations that highlight data capabilities.
  • Based on customer’s requirements lead the team to build solutions that achieve client’s goals and ultimately enable us to win the deal
  • Respond to client RFPs/RFIs, proposing a solution that best satisfies customer needs
  • Lead Data assessment and implementation engagements
  • Deliver compelling presentations and product demonstrations describing the functionality of Resonate’s platform, the breadth and depth of Resonate’s data, and other architecture, technical metrics, process flows, and case studies demonstrating the value of Resonate
  • Orchestrate pilots, proof-of-concepts, or other technical data testing required in the pre-sales process to support Sales
  • Represent Resonate’s POV on issues critical to marketers (privacy, attribution, etc.)
  • Liaise with Research and Product teams to represent client needs and requested enhancements to the platform
  • Contribute to Resonate’s knowledge management library, including best practices, POVs, and case studies
  • Assist with the development of technical requirements and specifications for custom client solutions when needed
  • Evangelize and energize the market by representing Resonate at industry events and in the trade press
  • Travel will become approximately 15% of time domestically 

Qualifications: 

  • Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Business or other related Bachelor’s degree
  • 3+ years of identity, data management and/or modeling experience
  • Knowledge of the Ad Tech/ Mar Tech and Data ecosystems
  • Expert knowledge of privacy regulations around the handling of first party data
  • Deep domain knowledge of the process and use cases of data append deliveries
  • Ability to consult on complex projects and present solutions to client’s business problems.
  • Ability to represent technical requirements and trade-offs in a business environment to facilitate decision making
  • Understanding of data science techniques and modeling best practices strongly preferred
  • Software experience with marketing analytics, data enhancement, marketing automation, syndicated research, or media technology strongly preferred
  • Domain knowledge of the marketing technology solutions stack and vendor ecosystem, especially programmatic players (DSPs, DMPs, data providers) strongly preferred
  • Outstanding presentation and writing skills, including technical subject matter
