About ROLLER

ROLLER is not your average software-as-a-service company. With a global presence in over 30 countries, we're here to bring some excitement to the leisure and attractions industry and make a difference! Our mission is to help businesses operate smoothly and create fun and memorable guest experiences by providing seamless ticketing, point-of-sale, self-serve kiosks, memberships and digital waiver processes.

But here's the best part: our team. We're a group of 300+ highly passionate, enthusiastic, and down-to-earth professionals located all around the world who are all working together to build something truly remarkable. We're aiming high and believe that the possibilities are endless. As we continue to grow globally, we're excited to write our success story and have fun along the way.

We genuinely love what we do, and we're looking for like-minded people to join us on this amazing journey. If you're ready to be part of a dynamic team and make a real impact, come aboard, and let's create some unforgettable experiences together at ROLLER!

Why You’ll Enjoy This Role

🚀 Real Scale, Real Momentum - ROLLER powers 90 million guest experiences a year across 35 countries, and we're growing fast. As Hardware Product Lead, your decisions don't just show up in a roadmap - they show up physically, in venues around the world. Terminal deployments, POS devices, payment flows: your work is tangible, visible, and felt by real operators and real guests.

🔧 Build the Hardware Layer from Scratch - ROLLER's hardware ecosystem is still being shaped, and you'll be the one shaping it. From branded POS devices to third-party terminal strategy, this is a greenfield opportunity at a company that already has product-market fit, strong revenue, and a rapidly expanding global footprint. You won't be maintaining - you'll be building.

💳 Work at the Intersection of SaaS and Payments - You'll work directly with Adyen, one of the world's leading payment platforms, to define how ROLLER's terminal and payments hardware strategy evolves. It's a rare chance to get deep into in-person payments, embedded fintech, and cutting-edge hardware - inside a high-growth SaaS company, not a bank.

🧠 Seat at the Table - You’ll work closely with senior leadership and are expected to have a point of view. You’ll regularly share your thinking, challenge assumptions, and influence direction. If you’re strong, you’ll be heard. If you’re right, you’ll move the company.

Why You Want To Work With Us

❤️ Loved by Customers - ROLLER is consistently highly rated on Capterra and G2, and trusted by leading operators worldwide. That doesn’t happen by accident. Customer obsession isn’t a value on a wall here, it’s embedded in how we prioritise, build, and measure success.

🏆 A Great Place People Choose to Stay - We’ve been Great Place to Work certified across multiple regions for several years running. That reflects a culture that values trust, autonomy, and growth, and an environment where high standards and psychological safety coexist.

💸 Competitive Package & Real Career Growth - We offer competitive compensation and benefits aligned to the level of ownership we expect. As ROLLER scales, so do the opportunities. People grow here by taking on bigger problems, broader scope, and greater responsibility. Progression is driven by impact and capability, not tenure, and strong performance is recognised and rewarded.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Hardware Product Lead to take end-to-end ownership of ROLLER’s hardware ecosystem - including third-party payment terminals (powered by Adyen), POS devices, kiosks, peripherals, and all associated hardware procurement and sales operations. Reporting to the VP of Financial Services, this is a high-impact, strategic role that will shape the future of hardware at ROLLER.

You’ll be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive hardware strategy, with a mandate to increase hardware margins, grow gross hardware revenue, overhaul our third-party hardware procurement and sales processes, and lay the groundwork for ROLLER-branded hardware and differentiated product offerings. You will be the single accountable owner of hardware product across the business, working cross-functionally with Engineering, Operations, Sales, Customer Success, Finance, and our payment processing partner Adyen.

This is a unique opportunity to build something from the ground up within a high-growth SaaS company that already has strong product-market fit and a rapidly expanding global footprint in the leisure and attractions vertical.

What You’ll Do

  • Own ROLLER's hardware strategy across terminals, POS, kiosks, and peripherals
  • Define the multi-year roadmap, including design and pilot of an all-in-one ROLLER-branded device
  • Identify differentiated hardware opportunities that strengthen ROLLER's value proposition and customer stickiness
  • Drive hardware revenue and margin growth through pricing optimisation, vendor negotiations, and procurement improvements
  • Own the hardware P&L, including cost modelling, pricing strategy, and margin analysis across all SKUs and geographies
  • Develop business cases and ROI analyses for new hardware investments
  • Partner with Adyen to optimise terminal performance and introduce new payment features
  • Lead terminal troubleshooting, configuration management, and performance monitoring
  • Evaluate emerging payment technologies (Tap to Pay, SoftPOS, NFC) for applicability to ROLLER's customer base
  • Partner with Sales and CS to support venue onboarding and drive adoption across franchise and enterprise accounts
  • Work with Engineering and Product on hardware integrations, device provisioning, and supply chain logistics
  • Collaborate with Finance on pricing models, margin reporting, and revenue forecasting
  • Support executive reviews with hardware performance data and strategic recommendations

About You

  • You bring 5+ years of experience in hardware product management, product strategy, or a related commercial/technical role, ideally within a SaaS, payments, or fintech environment.
  • You have a strong understanding of the payments ecosystem, including in-person payments, payment terminals, POS hardware, and payment processing (experience with Adyen, Stripe Terminal, or similar platforms is highly regarded).
  • You have demonstrated experience managing hardware product lifecycles - from market research and vendor evaluation through procurement, deployment, and post-sale support.
  • You’re commercially sharp: you can build a business case, negotiate with vendors, model unit economics, and drive measurable improvements to revenue and margin.
  • You have experience building strategic partnerships with hardware vendors, OEMs, or supply chain partners.
  • You’re a self-starter with a bias for action, attention to detail, and a track record of delivering impact in fast-paced environments.
  • You have exceptional communication skills and can influence decision-making across all levels of the business without direct authority.
  • You’re energised by the opportunity to build something new and shape the hardware strategy for a high-growth platform company.

Bonus Points

  • Experience working at or with companies like Toast, Adyen, Square, Lightspeed, Shopify, or similar embedded payments / SaaS platforms with hardware offerings.
  • Background in hardware engineering, industrial design, or manufacturing (EVT/DVT/PVT processes).
  • Experience with PCI compliance, P2PE, key management, or terminal management systems (TMS/MDM).
  • Familiarity with the leisure, attractions, hospitality, or retail industry.
  • Experience operating across multiple currencies, markets, and regulatory environments.

Perks!

  • You’ll get to work on a category-leading product that customers love in a fun, high-growth industry! Check our Capterra and G2 reviews.
  • ROLLER Recharge days to celebrate and recharge once we’ve hit our goals.
  • Engage in our ‘Vibe Tribe’ — led by our team members; you can contribute to company-wide initiatives directly. Regular events and social activities, fundraising & cause-related campaigns.
  • Team Member Assistance Program to proactively support our team’s health and wellbeing — access to coaching, education modules, weekly webinars, and more.
  • 16 weeks paid Parental Leave for primary carers and 4 weeks paid Parental Leave for secondary carers.
  • Work with a driven, fun, and switched-on team that likes to raise the bar in all we do!
  • Individual learning & development budget plus genuine career growth opportunities as we continue to expand!

You’ll have an initial call with our Talent Team to chat through some of your experience to date, salary expectations and you can check off any initial questions you might have.

You’ll be asked to prepare a short strategic presentation on a hardware-related business scenario. This is your chance to showcase how you think about product strategy, commercial trade-offs, and stakeholder communication.

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
