Role Overview

Schonfeld Strategic Advisors is scaling its next generation of internal AI capabilities across the firm. The AI Implementation Lead will be the “bridge” between our investment professionals, operating teams, and core engineering groups. You will surface high-impact use cases and evangelize modern AI tooling.

In this role, you will:

  • Be accountable for working with the team on AI roadmap deliverables, evaluating emerging platforms and trends, and prioritizing use cases with the greatest impact.
  • Engage with a diverse set of users to identify and deliver AI centric solutions that are critical to their daily workflow and process.
  • Highlight available use cases convert passive users, demystify AI for non-technical audiences, and inspire action.
  • In parallel, you will help support and define our AI governance, usage and best use practices to optimize use cases and create guardrails for success.

Success hinges on tight partnership with teams across the firm. You will partner closely with portfolio management teams and other business users to surface their biggest pain points, co-create high value AI solutions that unlock alpha and efficiency, and iterate rapidly on feedback.

In this role, you must be comfortable with rapid prototyping, iterative delivery, and course correction.

Performance of this team will be measured by tangible business value (AI tools in production delivering strong ROI), employee engagement (broad training completion and tool adoption), and a governance framework endorsed by firm leadership.

Core Responsibilities

Use-Case Discovery & Prioritization

  • Run regular ideation workshops with PMs, analysts, and business ops leads.
  • Build and maintain a living AI use-case and data roadmap, ranking by ROI, feasibility, and risk.
  • Quantify business value and create succinct business cases for executive sponsorship.

Stakeholder Engagement & Evangelism

  • Translate AI concepts into P&L-relevant language for portfolio managers.
  • Host demos, brown-bag sessions, and KPI reviews to drive adoption.
  • Champion best practices around model governance, data privacy, and responsible AI.

Deliery Leadership

  • Form and lead cross-functional squads (AI engineering, data ops and onboarding, user training & enablement).
  • Own project lifecycles from proof-of-concept to secure, scalable production deployment.
  • Establish success metrics and run post-implementation reviews to iterate quickly.

Risk & Compliance

  • Work closely with Legal, Compliance, and Cybersecurity to embed guardrails around data usage and model outputs.
  • Define playbooks for model explainability, audit trails, and incident response.

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years delivering data-driven or AI solutions in capital-markets or tech-forward environments; 5+ years in a leadership capacity.
  • Proven success shepherding ML / GenAI products from concept to scaled adoption (ideally with front-office users).
  • Deep understanding of machine-learning lifecycle (feature engineering, model training, prompt engineering, evaluation, monitoring).
  • Strong product-management mindset with exceptional communication skills—able to interface equally with quants, engineers, traders, and COOs.
  • Experience in investment environments and knowledge of data-privacy & model-governance best practices.
  • Front-office experience at a hedge fund, asset manager, or sell-side desk.
  • Track record deploying LLM applications (retrieval-augmented generation, agent frameworks, vector databases).
  • Experience negotiating with third-party data or AI vendors.

The base pay for this role is expected to be between $250,000 and $300,000. The expected base pay range is based on information at the time this post was generated. This role may also be eligible for other forms of compensation such as a performance bonus and a competitive benefits package. Actual compensation for the successful candidate will be determined based on a variety of factors such as skills, qualifications, and experience.
