What you’ll do

Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following:

  • Lead the planning and coordination of all pre-series and launch-related activities, ensuring alignment with company objectives and successful integration into production operations. 
  • Oversee and guide a team responsible for pre-series planning, cost analysis, and documentation, ensuring their efforts align with project milestones and organizational goals, while actively leading Launch meetings to coordinate key launch activities and resolve cross-departmental challenges. 
  • Act as the central point of contact between engineering, production, quality, sales, and other departments to align pre-launch activities and strategies. 
  • Oversee pre-series production planning, resolving constraints, and ensuring vehicles meet purpose-specific requirements, such as testing, validation, and training. 
  • Supervise detailed cost analysis and optimization strategies, ensuring launch budgets align with financial goals and operational needs. 
  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date technical documentation to support launch activities, including process workflows, operational timelines, and contingency plans. 
  • Implement lessons learned from pre-series and launch activities to improve future planning and execution processes. 
  • Communicate effectively with senior management and external stakeholders, providing updates on progress, risks, and mitigation plans. 
  • Proactively identify potential risks and challenges in launch activities, developing and implementing corrective measures as needed. 
     

Location & Travel Expectations:

  • This role will be based out of the Scout Motors location in Columbia, South Carolina.
  • The responsibilities of this role requires daily attendance at in-person meetings and events. 
  • Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the company from time to time.

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. Specialization in Manufacturing or Project Management is preferred. 
  • 5-8 years of relevant experience in automotive production, launch processes, or related fields, with a proven track record of leading cross-functional teams in complex projects. 
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop diverse teams, driving collaboration and ensuring alignment with organizational goals. 
  • In-depth knowledge of automotive manufacturing processes, cost analysis, and technical documentation, with strong analytical skills to optimize workflows and budgets. 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to manage stakeholder expectations and facilitate cross-departmental collaboration. 
  • A proactive approach to identifying and resolving production and launch-related challenges, ensuring seamless execution of project milestones. 
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to manage multiple priorities effectively. 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, adapting to changes and maintaining focus on delivering high-quality results. 
  • Proficiency in project management and documentation tools, with a willingness to explore and integrate innovative solutions such as AI to enhance efficiency.

Pay Transparency

This is a full-time, exempt position eligible to receive a base salary and to participate in an annual performance bonus program. Final salary offered will be determined based on factors including but not limited to the candidate's skills and experience. The annual performance bonus program is preset and not candidate dependent.

Initial base salary range = $145,000.00 - $165,000.00
