Overview

As the Senior Specialist, Aftersales Technology Projects, you will shape and deliver high-impact Aftersales technology initiatives that drive measurable business and customer outcomes. You will be responsible for guiding projects from discovery through delivery, ensuring alignment with Scout’s strategic objectives and customer-first philosophy. With deep experience in digital and Aftersales environments, you will influence direction, orchestrate execution, and ensure that innovative solutions reach our teams and customers effectively. This role reports to the Manager, Aftersales Technology & Solutions.

What you’ll do

Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following:

  • Lead Discovery & Alignment
    Connect with internal stakeholders (IT, Aftersales, Digital Products) and external partners (suppliers, Volkswagen Group entities) to uncover customer pain points, define business requirements, and translate insights into scalable technology solutions.
  • Shape Roadmaps & Priorities
    Build and maintain technology roadmaps that balance business value, technical feasibility, and customer impact. Partner with cross-functional teams to prioritize features and initiatives that deliver measurable outcomes.
  • Define Success & Measure Impact
    Establish KPIs and success metrics to track adoption, efficiency, and quality improvements. Use data and analytics to validate decisions, guide iteration, and continuously improve Aftersales solutions.
  • Facilitate Agile Delivery
    Drive agile execution by leveraging tools like Jira, Confluence, and Figma in Scrum or Kanban environments. Support teams in backlog management, sprint planning, and continuous improvement cycles.
  • Orchestrate Cross-Functional Execution
    Lead workshops and working sessions to align IT, engineering, design, and business stakeholders. Ensure projects progress smoothly by removing obstacles, resolving tradeoffs, and enabling timely, high-quality delivery.
  • Communicate with Influence
    Craft compelling narratives and deliver clear updates that resonate across audiences, from technical teams to executives, ensuring stakeholders remain aligned and engaged.
  • Drive Innovation in Aftersales
    Identify opportunities to modernize Aftersales operations through digital platforms, AI-driven tools, and customer-centric technologies. Act as a thought partner in shaping the future of Scout’s Aftersales ecosystem.

 

Location & Travel Expectations:

  • This role will be based out of the future Scout Motors corporate headquarters, which is anticipated to be identified in 2025. This role may be remote to start but will transition to an in-office setting at the headquarters after the location is determined. This role is not eligible for remote work in New York City.
  • The responsibilities of this role require attendance in office with in-person meetings and events regularly. 
  • Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the company from time to time.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. PMP, Scrum Master or similar certification is a plus.
  • 8+ years of proven experience in project management within a fast-paced environment, preferably in the automotive industry.
  • German language proficiency is a bonus and will contribute to success in the role.
  • Proven ability to translate customer needs and business goals into product requirements and technology solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies, with hands-on experience using Jira, Confluence, Figma, or similar tools.
  • Experience defining and tracking KPIs, success metrics, and business outcomes.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to influence and align diverse stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities, balance tradeoffs, and lead initiatives from concept to delivery.
  • A proactive, results-driven approach with a passion for innovation, digital transformation, and continuous improvement.

Pay Transparency

This is a full-time, exempt position eligible to receive a base salary and to participate in an annual performance bonus program. Final salary offered will be determined based on factors including but not limited to the candidate's skills and experience. The annual performance bonus program is preset and not candidate dependent.

Initial base salary range = $110,000.00 - $135,000.00
