Seattle Reign FC is a prominent professional women's soccer team competing in the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL). POSITION SUMMARY
Join Reign FC as the Senior Manager, Social Media & Content, where you’ll lead strategic social media initiatives to expand and engage our fanbase. You’ll be instrumental in developing an authentic digital voice that aligns with our values and mission, while overseeing dynamic content creation and integrated campaigns across platforms.
This role requires a collaborative leader who will mentor team members and manage contractors, fostering a creative, inclusive digital strategy that unites fans and stakeholders alike. Your creativity, strategic insights, and attention to detail will drive Reign FC’s digital presence, creating engaging experiences for fans while staying true to the club’s core values.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategy
- Support innovative strategies to grow and retain our fan base across all social channels, focusing on expanding social media followers and deepening fans' connection to Reign FC.
- Develop, document, and communicate the overarching Social Media strategy, encompassing brand voice, channel-specific approaches, and social media standards.
- Act as a subject matter expert in digital and social media, staying updated on emerging trends, platforms, and technologies to enhance the club’s digital presence and reach.
- Actively evaluate and analyze social media performance, using that data and your expertise to communicate value, suggest enhancements or pivot approaches as needed.
- Explore and utilize advanced technologies, including AI and other innovations, to increase brand awareness, drive audience growth, and enhance content strategy for Reign FC's social media presence.
Execution
- Lead the development, execution, and daily management of social media initiatives across all club-affiliated social channels, including Facebook, X, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, etc., for Reign FC.
- Develop and maintain a detailed content calendar that aligns with club goals, campaigns, and broader initiatives.
- Manage quality control of corporate partner-sponsored digital and social assets while identifying new opportunities to generate partner revenue.
- Lead live social media coverage for all Reign FC matches, including commentary, real-time updates, and post-match content, ensuring timely, accurate, and engaging posts that capture match-day excitement and maintain a consistent voice across platforms. Travel as needed.
Collaboration
- Collaborate cross-departmentally to facilitate content creation with design, video, brand, etc.
- Ensure that Reign FC brand guidelines and standards are upheld across all digital platforms.
- Oversee and manage independent contractors, such as photographers, ensuring compliance with club policies and P&C/Legal protocols.
Management
- Mentor and manage Reign Team Member, setting clear goals and expectations, offering constructive feedback, celebrating successes, and supporting professional growth.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Proven experience leading and executing social media strategies, ideally in sports and entertainment industries.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Adobe Creative Suite (specifically Photoshop), experience with CMS platforms, HTML 5, and other relevant tools.
- Forward-thinking leader with a deep understanding of digital trends, platforms, and emerging technologies with a proven ability to adopt innovative solutions for social media and content creation.
- Highly curious and proactive, consistently exploring new tools and approaches to advance business objectives and fan engagement.
- Demonstrated success in coaching and developing high-performing team members to drive both organizational and individual success, fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture.

- Understanding of the game of soccer, NWSL, and Reign FC.

- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on delivering flawless execution.
- Collaborative and team-oriented mindset, maintaining a professional demeanor and composure in high-pressure situations.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize effectively, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- This is a hybrid position working from home and from Headquarters & Training Facility in Renton WA, attending training sessions at Starfire Sports Facility in Tukwila, and home matches at Lumen Field.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Travel required to away matches during season.
- Must reside within Washington state upon date of hire.
- Must be able to facilitate own local travel.
- Must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship.

The annual salary range for this position is $70,000 - $90,000. Base pay at time of offer will take into account job-related knowledge, skills and experience required for the role, internal equity and market.
