Strategic Management Consultant 2
We are seeking an experienced Strategic Management Consultant (SMC) 2, that will collaborate with the government to gather, interpret and translate executive-level guidance into actionable initiatives aligned to appropriate organizational mission areas. The SMC will collaborate with government Directorate Portfolio Managers, Investment Portfolio Managers, provide support to agency Strategy & Business Case Development, and Corporate Performance Management, and Readiness functions and organizations.
This role resides in our Growth department and reports to our Program Manager. This position is on-site 100% in the Ft Meade area. No travel is anticipated in support of this position.
Core Responsibilities:
- Analyze data for program build activities including FYDP profiles by program and focus area
- Provide trend analysis reports to identify gaps in resources
- Enhance mapping of resources to programs, high interest areas, threads, strategic initiatives, etc
- Develop Congressional Justification Book narratives
- Provide input to IP on programmatic actions that impact Program Build
- Provide support to mission readiness process by coordinating with Mission Readiness Leads on the mitigation and binning of deficiencies and concerns
- Facilitate the coordination of resource strategies across multiple directorates and organizations
- Consolidate Program Build information for Executive Principals, Resource Management Board and Board of Directors, as well as external overseers
- Coordinate appropriate stakeholders in the prioritization of requirements across directorates and organizations
- Contribute information to responses to RFIs from ODNI and Congress regarding APIP Resources
- Provide support to the PPBE documentation process
- Lead meetings, teams, projects, and client support specific to the strategic management environment.
Required Skills and Experience:
- The Strategic Management Consultant Level 2 shall have eight (8) or more years of experience in strategy management and planning development. The Strategic Management Consultant’s years of experience shall include at least four (4) years of combined experience demonstrating a broad representation of the following; Federal Government Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution; large organization Strategic Management; Process definition, deployment, and improvement; Program analysis and evaluation; Facilitation and decision analysis; and Legislative process and Congressional relations. The Strategic Management Consultant will have successful experience providing mentoring, coaching, and consulting with junior to mid-level leaders of large, complex organizations, and must demonstrate an ability to lead, plan, and manage complex tasks with daily client interaction, delivery of presentations on complex subjects, and facilitation for strategic level meetings with senior client personnel. A Bachelor’s degree or higher degree is required. A Graduate or higher degree will be accepted in lieu of two (2) years of overall experience. Four (4) additional years of experience in strategy management and planning development will be accepted in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree.

At SIXGEN, we are committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The anticipated salary range for this role is $142,000 - $156,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. This range reflects our compensation philosophy, which takes into account various factors including the candidate's relevant experience, education, skills, LCATs rates and position level, and market competitiveness. In addition to base salary, employees may be eligible for other forms of compensation to include our growth incentive program, incentives and benefits. The final salary offer will be determined after a thorough review of the candidate's background and alignment with the role. Please note that this range is subject to change and should be considered as a guideline rather than a definitive figure.
