As a Senior People Operations Manager, you will play a pivotal role in aligning People Experience strategies with business objectives, fostering employee engagement, and ensuring operational excellence. Your work will drive the efficiency, compliance, and overall employee experience within Solaris, making a direct impact on our culture and organizational health. This role blends strategic oversight, operational execution, and employee-focused initiatives to create a seamless and effective People Experience across the company.
Your Role
- Operational Excellence: Lead efforts to optimize processes, including onboarding, offboarding, employee data management, and payroll.
- Policy Implementation & Compliance: Develop, implement, and ensure compliance with our policies and procedures in line with labor laws, company standards, and best practices. Support the Team lead People Experience with regulatory responsibilities.
- Employee Experience & Engagement: Collaborate with leadership to enhance the employee experience across all stages of the employee lifecycle, ensuring high levels of employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention.
- HR Systems: Oversee the management and optimization of HR systems (e.g. Personio), ensuring accuracy of employee data and effective use of technology to improve efficiency.
- Culture & Diversity Initiatives: Foster an inclusive work environment by supporting our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiative. Promote programs that enhance the bank’s culture, drive employee morale, and ensure alignment with the Solaris values.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with trends, technologies, and best practices to drive continuous improvement in people operations and overall team performance, ensuring the smooth implementation of new processes.

- You have 5+ years of experience in People Operations, with a track record of optimizing processes and enhancing employee experience.
- You have industry experience in banking or financial services or other highly regulated industries is a strong advantage.
- You have a deep knowledge of German labor laws and best practices in People Operations.
- You have experience in an international, fast-paced environment with a strong understanding of DEI principles.
- You are proficient in Personio, Excel, and other HR software tools.
- You are fluent in English and German (C1 level) communication language skills.
- You are based in Berlin and able to commute to the office 2–3 days per week.
