Marketing Manager, AWAL

The Marketing Manager at AWAL is responsible for planning & executing innovative marketing and promotions campaigns for AWAL releases which will includes music singles, EP’s & soundtracks. With the ultimate aim of driving search, discovery and streams of these releases across music platforms and key touchpoints thereby increasing AWAL’s market share in the region.

What you'll do:

  • Plan & ideate mktg. and promotions campaigns for local AWAL artists.
  • Manage and effectively utilize Mktg. budgets for various releases (frontline and catalogue).
  • Plan and execute marketing campaigns by liasoning with multiple partners and vendors eg. mktg. agencies, influencers, dsp’s like Spotify, YT, Meta etc.
  • Track effectiveness & learnings of mktg. campaigns executed across platform and present these learnings to leadership.
  • Liase with AWAL marketing teams across the globe to promote global tenpole AWAL releases in India and vice-versa.  
  • Facilitate and create short form content as part of an audience growth strategy for both local and international priority artist

Who you are:

  •  5–7 years of marketing experience within the music industry, with hands-on experience managing independent artists and releases
  • Proven ability to track, analyse and identify social media trends
  • Strong team player with experience collaborating within larger cross-functional teams
  • An avid music listener, particularly of emerging genres such as hip-hop, indie, synth, afro-pop, and more
