We are seeking a highly motivated Corporate Development Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in driving the company's growth through strategic initiatives, acquisitions and partnerships and will also be responsible for supporting our investor relations function. The successful candidate will have strong knowledge of the behavioral health competitive landscape and understand industry and regulatory trends that impact our business. The successful candidate will have strong attention to detail, project management skills and proven success working on M&A transactions. This is a full time position reporting to the VP, Corporate Development and may require occasional travel for M&A purposes. This is a hybrid role where the employee will work from our New York office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
What you’ll be doing:
Contribute to our mission to eliminate every barrier to mental healthcare for our members
- Lead the identification, evaluation, and execution of strategic partnerships, mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate development opportunities.
- Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify potential business opportunities, industry trends, and competitive landscape.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with external partners, industry leaders, and key stakeholders to enhance collaboration and identify potential growth avenues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess potential synergies, risks, and financial implications of corporate development initiatives.
- Coordinate investor meetings, presentations, and roadshows to build and maintain positive relationships with the investment community.
- Perform financial modeling, valuation, and due diligence activities to support corporate development initiatives.
- Analyze and interpret financial data to develop insights into the company's strategic opportunities and present findings to senior leadership.
What success looks like:.
- Source new strategically relevant M&A opportunities each quarter
- Maintain a target list of active M&A targets
- Initial strategic and financial assessment completed within a predetermined timeframe of receiving opportunity
- Contribute to the successful close of multiple transactions per year
- Viewed as a trusted partner by cross-functional teams
- Demonstrates clear judgment in go/no-go decisions
What we expect from you:
- 2+ years of experience at a top-tier investment banking, consulting firm, within an equivalent corporate development/strategy group or working in FP&A at a hyper-growth startup
- Strong financial acumen with the ability to analyze complex financial data and make strategic recommendations.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to convey complex information to various stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams, including balancing many cross-functional stakeholders, and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels.
- Proactive and creative problem-solver who takes initiative on implementing new approaches and processes
- Ability to think about the long-term strategy of the company and the industry
- Self-starter with bias to action and orientation towards business outcomes
- Exceptional team player who will embrace ambiguity, take initiative to anticipate and solve problems, consistently follow through on commitments, and build positive and productive working relationships
- Exceptional communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
- Adept at delivering effective written and verbal communications - you can simplify the most complicated concepts for any audience

Preferred qualifications:
- Proven experience in corporate development or mergers and acquisitions, within the healthcare or behavioral health industry
- Hypergrowth start-up experience
The target base salary range for this position is $110,400 - $138,000, and is part of a competitive total rewards package including stock options and benefits. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations. We review all employee pay and compensation programs annually using Radford Global Compensation Database at minimum to ensure competitive and fair pay.
