Job Overview: 

A Software Engineer Level I plays a crucial role in the design, development, testing, and maintenance of the MavBridge software platform. This entry-level position is ideal for a candidate with a foundational understanding of software development principles and a passion for technology. The role involves working within an agile team to deliver high-quality software solutions that meet the evolving needs of the business and its clients.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Assisting in the analysis of business requirements and contributing to the design of software solutions and new features. Considering factors such as user interface, data structures, and system performance.
  • Writing, debugging, and maintaining clean, efficient, and well-documented code primarily in C# and the .NET framework into Mavbridge software.
  • Utilize code to enhance automation efforts and streamline forms for STP.
  • Participating in the testing of new and existing software to ensure it is free of bugs and meets quality standards. This includes developing and executing unit tests.
  • Assisting in identifying and resolution of software issues reported by clients or internal teams.
  • Develop software documentation, including user manuals, technical specifications, and reports.
  • Working closely with cross-functional teams, including other engineers, product managers, and quality assurance analysts, to deliver integrated and effective solutions to software forms/systems with web applications, websites or mobile devices.

Qualifications and Education Requirements: 

  • Bachelor's Degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Information Science, or a related technical field is preferred, though equivalent professional experience will be considered. Master's degree may be preferred if hired on at a higher level. 
  • Strong technical skills, including proficiency in at least one programming language. Understanding software development tools, principles, and methodologies. Familiarity with data structures, algorithms, and software architecture.
  • Proficiency in programming languages: Strong understanding of languages like Python, Java, JavaScript, or C++.
  • Data structures and algorithms: Knowledge of fundamental data structures (e.g., arrays, lists, hashmaps) and algorithms is essential for writing efficient code.
  • Basic understanding of software development principles: Knowledge of concepts like object-oriented programming, and the software development lifecycle.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or AWS is highly desirable.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities: The capacity to analyze problems and develop logical solutions.
  • Good communication skills: The ability to articulate technical concepts clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Teamwork and collaboration: A willingness to work with others, share knowledge, and accept feedback.
  • Eagerness to learn: A proactive approach to acquiring new skills and knowledge.
  • Required to maintain an overall professional appearance and attitude. 
  • Adhere to all policies and procedures required. 

 

Physical Demands: 

  • Fine and/or gross motor skills, including the ability to grasp, lift and/or carry or otherwise move packages on a standard wheeled cart with a load capacity of 60 lbs. 
  • Ability to walk, bend, kneel, stand, and/or sit for an extended period of time. 
  • Manual dexterity required for operating office machinery (phone, copy machines, binding equipment, etc.). 
  • Physically able to talk on the phone and input data simultaneously. 
  • Ability to lift or move 40 lbs. or greater frequently. 
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, ability to adjust focus and ability to match or detect differences between colors, including shades of color and brightness. 

 

Travel: Local travel may be required.
