About the Role

The Implementation Specialist Level 1 is an individual contributor role within the Professional Services Organization who specializes in customization and configuration of vendor integrations in addition to data manipulation, import and reporting. This role is critical in successful onboarding or migration of the StarRez product and has a high emphasis on customer satisfaction with customers and internal stakeholders.


Responsibilities

  • Customizing and deploying vendor integrations via flat file, pre-built APIs or payment gateways for new customers or new product addendums.
  • Provide a technical voice to the Project Team and liaise with external stakeholders on current integrations.
  • Data manipulation to organize, validate, and import customer data into an SQL database.
  • Extract and export data via SQL, reporting tools, text templating or via standard interfaces.
  • Assist customers in the onboarding and use of StarRez Cloud only technology such as Amazon S3 buckets with SSE, Amazon SES for emails, and Azure Blob storage for documents and photos.
  • Work remotely but collaboratively with other IS and Professional Service staff.
  • Deliver outputs in a professional, timely manner contributing to a positive customer experience.
  • Managing concurrent multiple software projects with a focus on tasks and timelines for deliverables.
  • This role has after business hours requirements and may require occasional travel, which could include international travel.


Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years’ experience in software onboarding, implementation, or technical consulting with a SaaS or enterprise application (data integrations, migrations, or API-focused work)
  • 3+ years’ experience with data import tools, both command line and web interface, or API.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Some familiarity with SQL querying and SQL Server
  • Strong analytical skills – ability to arrive at a conclusion by asking the right questions, interpreting logs, and validating assumptions.
  • Great debugging skills using various tools (i.e. IDE, Web Browser, Application level)
  • A strong self-starter, multi-tasker, and attention to detail and deadlines
  • Ability to break down a task/body of work into logical steps, identify a critical path, and begin executing immediately.
  • Experience working in a collaborative work environment.
  • Experience with Higher Education systems (SISs, housing operations, or comparable enterprise applications), and understanding of how StarRez or similar platforms fit into daily university operations.
  • Great communication and documentation skills
  • Professionally represent StarRez, the company and product, during project communications and at StarRez regional events.
  • Capable of efficiently navigating and adapting to changing priorities and deadlines
