E-Commerce Manager

Overview:

The E-commerce Manager will be responsible for managing and optimizing the websites for both our retail dispensary brand and our CPG product brands. This role will oversee all aspects of website performance, including SEO, analytics, content, merchandising, UX, web development, and conversion optimization. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience managing e-commerce websites, excels at problem-solving, and is comfortable managing multiple projects, third-party vendors, and agencies in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

E-commerce Strategy & Growth

  • Develop and execute digital strategies to increase website traffic, conversions, and online engagement across multiple websites.
  • Align e-commerce initiatives with retail, marketing, and product teams to create integrated campaigns that support both dispensary sales and CPG brand awareness.
  • Stay ahead of digital commerce trends, industry regulations, and competitor strategies to drive innovation.

Website Management & Optimization

  • Oversee the daily management of our dispensary e-commerce platform (Dutchie or other cannabis-specific e-commerce platforms) and brand websites to ensure a seamless customer experience.
  • Ensure all sites are fast, secure, and optimized for performance on desktop and mobile.
  • Identify and resolve UX/UI issues to improve site engagement and conversion rates.

SEO & Data-Driven Growth

  • Implement and manage SEO strategies to improve organic rankings and search visibility across all websites.
  • Track, analyze, and report on key website metrics using Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and other data tools.
  • Provide actionable insights based on analytics to refine content, user experience, and marketing efforts.

Content & Merchandising

  • Manage website content updates for both retail and CPG brand sites, ensuring accurate product descriptions, promotions, and brand storytelling.
  • Optimize product placement, categorization, and merchandising strategies to enhance discoverability and sales.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to ensure website content aligns with broader brand and campaign objectives.

Conversion Optimization & UX

  • Conduct A/B testing and optimize checkout flows to improve conversion rates.
  • Enhance the mobile and desktop shopping experience to drive engagement and sales.
  • Implement best practices in accessibility, interface design, and customer journey mapping across all sites.

Vendor & Agency Management

  • Manage relationships with third-party vendors, agencies, and freelancers, ensuring efficient execution of development, SEO, and marketing initiatives.
  • Oversee agency performance and project timelines while ensuring cost-effectiveness and high-quality output.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for web development teams, ensuring website updates, integrations, and troubleshooting needs are addressed in a timely manner.

Web Development & Integrations

  • Coordinate with developers to implement new features, platform updates, and technical enhancements.
  • Ensure seamless integration between Ecommerce platforms (Dutchie or other cannabis e-commerce platforms), POS systems, CRM tools, and third-party applications.
  • Optimize website speed, performance, and security across all digital properties.

Education & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience managing e-commerce websites, preferably in a startup or high-growth environment.
  • Strong expertise with Wordpress, as well as enterprise-level ecommerce platforms. Knowledge of cannabis-specific ecommerce platforms like Dutchie or Iheartjane is a plus.
  • Deep knowledge of SEO, Google Analytics, conversion optimization, and UX best practices.
  • Experience managing multiple websites, including both retail and brand sites.
  • Proficiency in merchandising, content management, and digital marketing strategies.
  • Strong project management skills, with experience overseeing third-party vendors and agencies.
  • Ability to adapt quickly, solve problems, and execute projects efficiently in a fast-paced startup setting.
  • Cannabis or regulated industry experience is a plus but not required.
