Position Overview
The Engagement Manager (EM) is responsible for successfully managing a portfolio of active project delivery engagements. Exceeding client expectations is a top priority, as is effectively coordinating client and team communications while managing expectations, project scope, timelines, and profitability. The EM works closely to ensure consistent and accurate communication with SIG’s clients, consultants, and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Delivery:
- The EM is the primary day-to-day point of contact for clients and consultants during an active engagement. The EM is responsible for fostering and developing strong working relationships and assumes personal accountability for delivering the agreed-to project scope. The EM is the first point of escalation for any delivery-related issues that may arise throughout the engagement lifecycle and coordinates client resolution.
- Identify and pursue business development opportunities within the assigned accounts, in partnership with delivery and the Account Executive.
- Assist with scope for additional work and Change Orders.
People:
- EM's regularly provide coaching and feedback to consultants during an engagement with the goal of improving individual/ team effectiveness.
Client Satisfaction:
- EM’s support, coach and enable teams to drive delivery excellence, through setting and managing client expectations.
Leadership:
- The EM demonstrates sound judgment in tough client and personnel situations, is a role model and encourages continuous personnel and organizational improvement, leads by example, and fosters an environment where consulting delivery management and business development coexist side by side.
Required Qualifications
- Strong client focus – ability to operate at prime client contact level typically at senior manager/director level
- IT Project Management experience (minimum of 5 years)
- Experience leading and coordinating teams (including matrix management) within an operational service delivery or shared services environment
- Comprehensive understanding of the client’s business and ability to use that knowledge to anticipate how future service offerings need to evolve to meet client requirements
- Strong communicator at all levels
- Strong writing skills
- Systems and IT literate (Banner, Colleague, Workday, preferred)
- Relevant higher education degree
Pay and Benefits
- The salary range is $90,000-$110,000

The listed salary range for this position is indicative and subject to adjustment based on the candidate's unique skills and location. Final compensation will be determined through mutual agreement between the successful candidate and SIG.
