We’re looking for a Senior Commercial Counsel to join our team! In this role, you’ll pair meticulous legal drafting and deft negotiation skills with top-notch project management to execute strategic commercial agreements for teammates across all departments. We’re looking for someone excited about providing commercial support to further our mission of connecting the world through movement. You’ll work with cross-functional stakeholders, users, our community, and vendors. Come join a low-ego, high-impact in-house legal function, where you’ll report to Strava’s Deputy General Counsel, Corporate and Commercial.
We follow a flexible hybrid model that generally translates to around half your time on-site in our San Francisco or New York office— roughly three days per week.
What You’ll Do:
Be responsible for providing practical day-to-day commercial legal support to the Strava for Business team, including negotiation of our sponsored challenge agreements
Support cross-functional teams on negotiation of a wide variety of vendor, partnership, consulting, data protection, API and licensing agreements.
Work with various global teams on a range of special projects that require legal support, including marketing and Strava Metro initiatives
Develop and maintain enablement materials including legal playbooks, FAQs, training, and self-service materials for our cross-functional partners

You can clearly distill complex legal concepts into actionable guidance and influence at all levels of the organization
You have 6+ years of experience in commercial negotiations and contract drafting
You have a mix of top law firm and in-house experience at a multinational, consumer-facing technology company
Compensation Overview:
At Strava, we know our employees are the most important ingredient to our success, and our compensation and total rewards programs reflect that. We take a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on the department and your location. Salary ranges are categorized into one of three tiers based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. We will determine the candidate’s starting pay based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. We may modify these ranges in the future. As a Senior Data Scientist, you will play a key role in shaping the future of data-driven decision-making at Strava. You will develop and deploy cutting-edge machine learning models, design rigorous experimentation frameworks, and uncover insights that drive impactful business and product decisions. Working alongside cross-functional teams, you will help harness Strava’s vast dataset to enhance athlete experiences and drive engagement.

What You’ll Do:
Develop and enhance machine learning models using supervised, unsupervised, and reinforcement learning techniques to continuously elevate the athlete experience on Strava.
Design and implement robust experimentation strategies—including A/B testing, causal inference, and advanced techniques such as quasi-experimental designs—to drive data-informed product and business decisions.
Build and operationalize models for key business and product challenges, including propensity modeling, lifetime value (LTV) prediction, forecasting, and user segmentation.
Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, engineers, marketers, and other stakeholders to develop and scale data-driven solutions that improve athlete engagement and business outcomes.
Apply your expertise in large-scale data analysis to identify behavioral trends, surface growth opportunities, and inform strategic direction.
Stay current with advances in machine learning and AI—including transformers, LLMs, and deep learning—to explore their application in improving Strava’s data and product capabilities.

What You’ll Bring to the Team:
Educational Background: You have an MS degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.

Machine Learning Expertise: You have hands-on experience with various ML techniques, including supervised, unsupervised learning, reinforcement learning and are comfortable working with deep learning models such as transformers or LLMs.
Experimentation & Statistical Analysis: You have a solid grasp of A/B testing, causal inference, and statistical methodologies to support meticulous data-driven decision-making.

Strava is hiring a Group Product Lead of Trust & Safety to lead our Trust & Safety Product Management Team. The Trust & Safety team identifies and solves the biggest problems that may put our athletes' physical and emotional safety at risk. In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop platform-wide solutions to mitigate abuse.
As the Group Lead of Trust & Safety, you will be responsible for building safety features, growing and scaling product launch processes, and shaping strategic product roadmaps and tools. You will be tasked with connecting the big-picture with the small details that make elegant and fully thought-through solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional partners to set a broad strategic vision to prevent fraud and abuse and enhance trust. You will execute the vision by designing and implementing technical ML/AI solutions, increasing automation and working cross-functionally to address problems related to feature safety, privacy, and platform integrity.

What You’ll Do:
Develop, implement, own, and improve product features with trust at its core
Drive best-in-class privacy and AI safety-first feature development
Design scalable prevention and detection solutions that account for growth and product innovation.
Collaborate with key cross-functional stakeholders to mitigate risk across a suite of products.
Produce metrics to show the performance of the abuse prevention teams and systems for use in reporting.

You Will Be Successful Here By:

Navigating ambiguity. Experience working with ambiguity, make recommendations to a wide range of stakeholders, and deliver results.
Monitoring Trust & Safety trends. Identify and analyze opportunities to improve the athlete experience and drive operating efficiency to support the strategic and operational goals of Trust & Safety.
Measuring Trust & Safety. Define KPIs and metrics to effectively measure user safety and trust factor.
Promoting Trust & Safety education. Provide mentorship on sophisticated, high-visibility cases and projects; adapting and realigning priorities in response to emergent crises.
What You’ll Bring to the Team:
Have 8+ years of Product Management experience, with proven Trust & Safety outcomes.
Have a proven record of collaborating with a world-class team to build successful products.
Are experienced with proactively addressing safety-related needs for product features and internal processes and systems.
Are eager to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and amongst the ever-changing nature of scale and growth.
Are a self starter with a sense of urgency and are passionate about protecting our users.
Have experience with various aspects of trust, safety, fraud and abuse types in technology, media services, content and account space.
