We’re looking for a passionate, dedicated, and motivated copywriter to join our growing creative team within our design org.
You will be working alongside marketing teams and senior copywriters to implement high-quality marketing and design projects. You will collaborate with a team of senior copywriters and report to our Creative Director based in New York. You’ll be spending your days writing engaging content across various types to captivate and sustain audience interest. You will be mainly focused on product copy and content design, with involvement in GTM campaigns and social copy.
Please be prepared to submit a portfolio or writing samples on the application.
We follow a flexible hybrid model that generally translates to around half your time on-site in our San Francisco office—roughly three days per week.
You're passionate about this opportunity because you will:
- Be developing copy on product and focusing on content design.
- Be supporting on GTM campaigns and social copy.
- Craft exciting and meaningful creative for our marketing and product teams, building hype for Strava and championing the tone of voice.

You will be successful here by:

- Clearly and effectively communicating your decisions and linking them to team goals and objectives.
- Staying up-to-date with the latest developments and trends in copy and social media.
- Collaborating with senior creatives to ideate and iterate on work aligning with brand tone of voice.
- Working both independently and as a part of a team.
- With mentorship, delivering ideas and shippable copy for defined objectives.
We're excited about you because you have:
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in copywriting.
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in content design/UX writing.
- Multiple years' experience using Figma.
- A portfolio of writing samples that showcases a keen understanding in the art of content design, storytelling, and strong conceptual ability.
- Ability to take creative direction and contribute ideas.
- Passion for exploring new opportunities, taking calculated risks, and learning from them.
- A collaborative approach and the ability to work seamlessly across teams and time zones.
- An interest in working across fields, helping support our product teams with fresh knowledge and perspectives.
- Background in working within sports companies, sports-related content.
- Experience in content design to help elevate product copy.
- Experience or knowledge that spans a range of writing fields (creative agency, brand-side, platform-side, social).
Compensation Overview
At Strava, we know our employees are the most important ingredient to our success, and our compensation and total rewards programs reflect that. We take a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on the department and your location. Salary ranges are categorized into one of three tiers based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. We will determine the candidate’s starting pay based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. We may modify these ranges in the future. Compensation: $79,000-$100,000. The base salary posted is within the compensation range for this role. This range reflects base pay only and does not include, equity, or benefits. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your location during the hiring process.
