What we’re looking for
SurveyMonkey is looking for a Workplace Services Coordinator for our San Mateo office.
As a vital part of our dynamic Workplace Services team, you will orchestrate the administrative and operational tasks that keep our San Mateo office running smoothly. You will handle a mix of administrative, operational, and financial duties to enhance our workplace culture and ensure a seamless daily experience for all employees.
This is a Part-Time role, 32 hours per week, with an expectation to be in the office 4 days per week, reporting to the Workplace Services Manager. Ready to help shape the future of our office culture?
What you’ll be working on
- Identify and implement office efficiency improvements and maintain comprehensive office procedure documentation.
- Manage key vendor relationships (e.g., building management, security, catering), process vendor invoices, and oversee office expenses.
- Oversee office and kitchen supply procurement and inventory (must be able to lift 20lbs).
- Manage guest check-in, employee badge access, and visitor badge access.
- Process maintenance and service requests via Zendesk.
- Manage all aspects of internal and external mail processing, including sorting and delivery.
- Promptly and accurately address employee inquiries and concerns.
- Monitor and report weekly office utilization data.
- Collaborate with the Events team to coordinate internal office events.
- Provide remote oversight of the Portland office, including office/kitchen supply procurement, inventory management, vendor coordination, and general employee support.
We’d love to hear from people with
- 2-4 years of experience in office operations or management.
- Strong prioritization and simultaneous task management skills.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, etc.).
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- (Preferred) Experience in event planning.
- Spanish language proficiency is a bonus.
The base pay provided for this position ranges from $26 - $31/hour, depending on the geographic market and assuming a full-time schedule. Actual base pay is based on a number of factors including market location, job-related knowledge, education or training, skills, and experience.
Bonuses and commissions may also be offered as part of the total compensation package, in addition to a competitive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance; 401(k) retirement plan; flexible spending & health savings account; paid holidays; paid time off; employee assistance program; and other company benefits.
