Outbound DC Controller

M24 Logistics, a division of the Takealot Group is looking for a suitably qualified and experienced Outbound DC Controller to join our Cape Town team. We are a renowned e-commerce logistics partner specialising in B2B and B2C warehousing and fulfilment solutions to the local and African markets.

This position will report to the Operational DC Manager.

Role overview

The ideal candidate will ensure the smooth and efficient functioning of outbound operations within our warehouse, ensuring that customer orders are dispatched accurately and on time.

The requirements for the role are:

• Matric (Grade 12) is mandatory.
• At least 3 years of proven working experience in a warehouse environment, specifically in an outbound or distribution role.
• Proficient in warehouse management systems and basic computer applications (e.g., MS Excel).
• Understanding of outbound logistics, inventory control processes, and safe loading/dispatch procedures.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Oversee and coordinate the outbound processes, including order picking, packing, and dispatching to meet daily operational and delivery targets.
• Guide warehouse staff to ensure productivity and compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Maintain accurate records for outbound inventory, ensuring that items are dispatched in the correct quantities and to the right destinations.
• Ensure all outbound shipments meet quality standards and are prepared according to customer specifications.
• Manage load distribution and ensure dispatch schedules are adhered to efficiently.
• Enforce safety and operational guidelines within the warehouse environment.
• Monitor and document daily outbound metrics and provide regular performance reports to management.

The required competencies are:

• Strong attention to detail and organizing skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficiency in warehouse management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines (SLAs).
