The IT Systems Engineer will be responsible for providing technical leadership and hands-on support for the deployment, integration, and management of Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) tools within the enterprise environment. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of SaaS platforms, systems engineering, cloud infrastructure, and automation, along with experience in troubleshooting, performance optimization, and user support. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the efficient, secure, and scalable operation of SaaS tools across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- SaaS Tool Management: Oversee the deployment, integration, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of critical SaaS applications and services. Ensure seamless integration with internal systems and platforms.
- Systems Engineering: Design, implement, and support cloud-based infrastructure, including SaaS tools, to ensure optimal performance, scalability, and security.
- Technical Support & Troubleshooting: Provide advanced support for SaaS tools, troubleshooting complex issues, and ensuring minimal downtime. Work closely with vendors and internal teams to resolve incidents and implement solutions.
- Supporting Identity Management: Provide advanced support for Okta, and other identity engines that will be used to process users and provision them to other tools.
- Automation & Optimization: Implement automation and optimization strategies to improve the reliability, and performance, SaaS tools and services within the enterprise environment.
- Security & Compliance: Monitor, audit, and implement security measures and best practices to protect SaaS tools and data. Ensure that the tools comply with organizational security policies and relevant regulations.
- Collaboration & Communication: Collaborate with IT, operations, and development teams to understand requirements and ensure SaaS tools meet the needs of the business. Communicate technical information clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Documentation & Training: Develop and maintain system documentation, user guides, and best practices for SaaS tools. Provide training and mentorship to junior engineers and end-users to enhance overall system adoption and knowledge.
- Continuous Improvement: Continuously evaluate emerging SaaS technologies and trends to recommend improvements and enhancements to the organization’s toolset and processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's of Computer Applications or Bachelor of Information Technology
- Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
- 2-8 years of experience in systems engineering, focusing on SaaS application support, integration, cloud-based technologies, and performance optimization, at least 2 years of experience managing Okta SSO applications and their settings.
- Proven experience working with major SaaS platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Okta, Microsoft 365, AWS, Atlassian, etc.).
- Strong understanding of development tools such as Gitlab, Atlassian, and code editors.
- Excellent troubleshooting, diagnostic, and analytical skills, with a strong focus on root-cause analysis and proactive issue resolution.
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash) for automation and workflow improvement.
- Strong knowledge of security best practices, compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, SOC 2, ISO 27001), and data privacy.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Splunk, Datadog, Prometheus).
- Familiarity with IT identity tools such as Okta, or Entra ID.
- Experience working in cloud-based companies with SaaS operations.
- Practical experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell/Bash/Python
