HR Analytics Intern

We are looking for a motivated and analytical HR Analytics Intern to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will assist in analyzing HR data, creating visualizations, and managing HR data spreadsheets and projects to support our HR initiatives and drive data-informed decision-making.
This role is on-site, based out of Santa Clara.
Responsibilities:
- Data Analysis: Gather, clean, and analyze HR data related to recruitment, performance, compensation, and employee engagement to uncover trends and insights that inform strategic decisions.
- Data Visualization: Develop compelling visualizations using tools like Tableau, Power BI, Looker Studio, or Excel/Google Sheets to present analytical findings to HR leadership and stakeholders.
- Spreadsheet Management: Manipulate and maintain spreadsheets for tracking HR metrics, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and reliability.
- Reporting: Assist in preparing regular reports on key HR performance indicators (KPIs), such as employee turnover, diversity metrics, and engagement scores.
- Support HR Projects: Collaborate with the HR team on initiatives related to talent management, workforce planning, and employee development, ensuring data accuracy and providing data-driven insights.
- Research: Conduct research on industry best practices and emerging trends in HR analytics, particularly in the semiconductor and AI sectors.
Experience & Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Analytics or a related field.
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on data interpretation and problem-solving.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets (advanced functions, pivot tables, scripting, etc.) and familiarity with data visualization tools.
- Basic understanding of HR concepts, metrics, and the semiconductor industry is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present data clearly.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
- Strong organizational skills with the capability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Passion for data analysis and eagerness to learn new analytical techniques.
Compensation for all interns at Tenstorrent ranges from $50/hr - $70/hr including base and variable compensation targets. Experience, skills, education, background and location all impact the actual offer made.
