About the role

As a Cash Collections Team Leader, you will play a key role in reducing bad debt across multiple markets by guiding and empowering a team of specialists through the entire cash collection cycle — from the first overdue invoice to final resolution, including handover to external collection agencies when necessary.

You'll be responsible not only for maximizing collection rates but also for preserving and growing our base of published and bookable restaurants, reducing financial churn, and ensuring appropriate controls for restaurants rejoining our platform.

You’ll lead a team of 9 Specialists / Senior Specialists across various markets and act as the primary point of contact for Country Managers, Sales Directors, and Account Management teams.

What you will do

Lead and optimize cash collection efforts:

  • Drive cash recovery by strategically prioritizing outbound and inbound collection activities within your team (e.g. WhatsApp follow-ups, pre-collection steps, and custom outreach tactics by actively calling, mailing campaigns).

  • Monitor and manage the performance of all payment methods in your portfolio (e.g. direct debit, wire transfer, credit card).

  • Oversee relationships with recovery agencies and legal partners: manage claim submissions and track recovery rates and timelines.

  • Ensure up-to-date reporting on key KPIs and support the team in prioritizing actions based on business impact.

Manage and develop your team:

  • Allocate tasks and adjust team focus based on real-time service needs and individual strengths.

  • Conduct regular quality checks to ensure alignment with internal performance standards and customer focus.

  • Foster a motivated and engaged team by setting tactical challenges, incentives, and clear development goals.

  • Hold regular 1:1s to support personal growth and address challenges.

  • Act as the main point of resolution for operational or team-related issues.

  • Keep your team informed and connected by sharing news, updates, and celebrating wins.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders:

  • Partner with other team leaders to identify improvement opportunities, escalate feedback, and align on department priorities.

  • Prepare and present monthly debt performance reports, leading credit committee reviews alongside Sales Directors.

  • Work cross-functionally with departments like SAO, Sales, AM, and Quality to ensure process efficiency and address root causes of recurring issues.

Who you are

  • Fluent in English, and communication abilities  in Spanish.
  • A natural leader with proven experience managing a team.
  • Strong analytical skills, with a solid knowledge of Excel and KPI tracking.
  • Confident working under pressure and focused on delivering results.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Highly organized with a sharp attention to detail.
  • Collaborative, proactive, and customer-centric.
  • Experience with Salesforce or Microsoft Dynamics is a strong plus.
