ABOUT THE ROLE
Tide is scaling rapidly, expanding into the EU SME marketplace as part of our ambitious growth strategy. We're seeking an exceptional finance leader who demonstrates extreme ownership and a passion for building high-performing teams. You will establish and lead a best-in-class financial function for Tide EU, with a strong focus on strategic leadership, people development, and financial governance to drive growth.
As our new Head of Finance - EU, you’ll report to the VP of Finance and be part of the local EU leadership team. This is a critical and senior position that will play a key role in shaping Tide’s financial future in Europe.
As a Head of Finance - EU, you’ll provide:
- Strategic Leadership: Partner with senior leaders to embed financial objectives, provide insights for decision-making, and drive robust financial planning processes.
- People Leadership & Development: Build, mentor, and scale a high-performing finance team by fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and accountability. Drive team capability through coaching, feedback, and continuous learning.
- Financial Management & Control: Own budgeting, forecasting, performance monitoring, and ensure effective financial control to support growth objectives.
- Compliance & Reporting: Oversee accurate and timely P&L, balance sheet, cash flow reporting, tax filings, and adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Process Optimisation: Continuously enhance accounting processes and systems, promoting efficiencies and scalable practices across the function.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- At least 10 years (post PQ) operating experience in financial control and FP&A, recently at senior level
- Proven experience in building, developing, and leading high-performing finance teams.
- Extensive background in a financial services or tech company (fintech, payment services, banking, lending) that has seen significant growth or transformation, operated in a mass market business spanning multiple product lines,
- CA qualification with familiarity with IFRS/Lux GAAP.
- Degree in Finance, Economics, or Accounting from a top-tier university.
- Strategic, hands-on leader with exceptional decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency in financial modeling, analytics, and BI tools.
- High integrity, ownership mindset, and a passion for nurturing talent.
