Therefore, we are actively searching for one PhD candidate with a passion for generative neural networks, simulation and training large foundational models. This role will be pivotal in refining and enhancing our data assets to extract maximum value. With a wealth of sensor data at hand, the application of generative neural networks stands as a promising avenue. These networks with allow for techniques such as self-supervised learning and can identify intricate patterns and nuances, while relaying less on labeled datasets laying the groundwork for more intelligent, data-driven decision-making. In that respect you will will collaborate with many internationally renowned research organizations in the United States and Germany, pushing the state-of-the-art what we can do with today's sensors and algorithms, take part in international conferences and publish your work accordingly.
- You have finished your degree or are you're in the latest stage of completing your Master's degree with the highest honors in a highly quantitative discipline such as Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.
- Fluency in English and/or German
- Strong programming skills in an object oriented programming language such as Python/C++
- Familiarity with Linux
- Ability to think ahead / Independence
- Familiarity with deep learning frameworks such as Tensorflow or Pytorch
- Familiarity with object detection/tracking
- Familiartiy with generative networks and/or rendering techniques
- Experience in Bayesian inference/Monte Carlo methods
- Experience with Reinforcement Learning
- Experience with Time of Flight Sensors
- Experience with ROS
- Experience with Cloud Computing Services as Slurm, AWS or Azure.
- Published your work at CVPR/ICML/ECCV/ICCV/Siggraph or similar.
- Experience with optimization methods.
- Experience with Sensors such as LiDAR, RADAR, Camera.
