What will you bring to the team.

Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions is seeking a self-directed Senior Java Software Engineer to join our team in Guadalajara, Mexico. The Senior Java Software Engineer designs, builds, and supports custom software solutions for some of the world’s largest retailers.

What will you be doing:

Your typical day as a Sr. Java Software Engineer will involve:

• Developing new custom function and assisting with defect support.
• Extending the automation / continuous integration platform, including tests.
• Working closely with the QA team to ensure a quality deliverable.
• Creating product user’s documentation.
• Providing configuration, installation, and ongoing maintenance support.
• Providing technical guidance during requirements for workshops with our clients.

Naturally to be successful in this role, you must have and know of:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
• +6 years of software development experience with Java.
• Experience with XML.
• Knowledge of computer science fundamentals including object-oriented concepts, data structures, and related algorithms.
• Familiarity with SDLC.
• Experience with Linux-based operating systems.
• Good debugging skills.
• Experience working with agile methodologies.
• Advanced English level.

Nice to have:

• SAFe or Scrum methodologies.
• C or C++.
• Background experience with hardware.
