Executive Director, Infrastructure, Operations & Enterprise Architecture

Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions is seeking an Executive Director, Infrastructure, Operations & Enterprise Architecture which is a strategic leadership role responsible for unifying and modernizing the IT infrastructure and operations landscape across the enterprise. This position oversees service delivery, infrastructure engineering, and cloud strategy, while also serving as the enterprise architect for infrastructure domains. The ideal candidate brings deep experience in hybrid cloud environments, automation, and enterprise architecture frameworks.

 

RESPONSIBILITY

OCI Ecosystem Management 

  • Full accountability for design, implementation, operation, and continuous improvement of the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) ecosystem.
  • Expertise in OCI tenancy management, compartmentalization, tagging strategies, IAM policy design, and secure access provisioning.
  • Oversight of OCI-native services: Exadata, OCVS, Compute, Storage (ZFS), Networking (VCN, subnets, gateways, load balancers).
  • Disaster recovery planning, high-availability configurations, and region/availability domain selection.
  • Lifecycle management of OCI-hosted enterprise applications ensuring performance, security, and cost efficiency.
  • Management of OCI IAM federation, SAML/OAuth integrations, and enforcement of MFA and adaptive security policies.
  • Administration of OCI policies, separation of duties, and compliance with audit requirements.
  • Configuration and management of OCI monitoring, logging, and event services for proactive visibility and automation.
  • Design and enforcement of OCI security zones, firewall policies, and zero-trust network segmentation.
  • Leadership of OCI migration activities, workload analysis, and post-migration stabilization.
  • Vendor relationship management and contract negotiations for OCI managed services and support.
  • Continuous improvement leveraging automation (IaC, Terraform, Ansible), observability, and AI-driven solutions.

Enterprise Infrastructure & Operations Leadership

  • Provide strategic and technical leadership for enterprise-wide IT infrastructure, operations, and architecture.
  • Deep expertise in hybrid cloud environments (OCI, Azure) including architecture, migration, and integration.
  • Oversight of Microsoft 365, Exchange/O365, and collaboration platforms including licensing, security, and compliance.
  • Lead major infrastructure and application transformation projects such as ERP upgrades and migrations.
  • Direct global IT operations including service desk, incident response, and end-user support.

Compliance, Security & Governance

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks (SOX, GDPR, HIPAA) and internal security policies.
  • Oversee audit logging, data retention, and incident response coordination.
  • Collaborate closely with cybersecurity and risk management teams to maintain governance standards.

Collaboration & Communication

  • Drive cross-functional collaboration with application, business, and development teams to support digital transformation.
  • Communicate effectively with executive leadership and stakeholders to align IT strategy with business objectives.
  • Deliver executive presentations and translate complex technical concepts for diverse audiences.

Talent Development & Organizational Leadership

  • Mentor and develop high-performing technical teams fostering innovation and accountability.
  • Participate in recruitment, training, and development of directors, managers, and technical staff.
  • Apply ITIL and project/program management best practices using service management platforms (e.g., ServiceNow).

 

Areas of Expertise and Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree in IT, Business Administration, or Related
  • 15+ years of experience in IT, OCI Ecosystems, and Enterprise Infrastructures
  • Strong track record of leading change and driving operational improvements (design and build) to support the business strategy.
  • Demonstrated experience influencing senior executives.
  • Proven results in managing and developing talent. Strong complex project management experience.
  • Strong Collaboration, consultative, presentation, and analytical skills.
  • Strong organization and business communications skills (oral and written) are required.
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft products, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Business System and eSourcing experience a plus.
