Position Summary:

The Technical Sales and Quoting Coordinator supports the sales team by preparing and sending accurate and timely quotations to customers, maintaining pricing records, and coordinating between customers, engineering, and production to ensure alignment on requirements, timelines, and deliverables. This role is key to ensuring customer satisfaction, competitive pricing, and efficient order processing in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Interpret technical data packages, to prepare detailed cost estimations and quotes based on customer drawings, BOMs (Bills of Materials), and specifications.
• Collaborate with engineering, purchasing, and production teams to assess feasibility, lead times, and cost estimates.
• Maintain and update quote logs, customer records, and pricing databases.
• Track and follow up on outstanding quotes and open RFQs, ensuring timely responses and updates to the customer.
• Assist with the order intake process, including quote-to-order conversion and data entry into ERP systems and network.
• Interpret customer drawings and technical documents to ensure accurate cost estimation modeling.
• Coordinate with purchasing team to obtain up-to-date pricing for raw materials and components.
• Support the sales team with product information, lead time estimates, and documentation needs.
• Communicate regularly with customers to manage requirements and provide quote status, questions/issues during quoting process, supplier scorecards, etc.

Required Qualifications:

• Experience in a sales support or quoting role, ideally in a manufacturing or wire harness environment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation.
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Excel.
• Solid communication skills for internal coordination and customer interactions.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced setting.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Technical knowledge of wire harness manufacturing processes, materials, and components.
• Experience using quoting software or product costing tools.
• Familiarity with ISO or AS9100 quality standards (if applicable).
• Inside or outside sales experience.
