YOUR MISSION
As the Director of Supply Chain at True Anomaly, you will report to the COO and be a strategic partner in enabling the pace, precision, and volume production required to deliver our space-superiority products. You will architect and mature a supply chain ecosystem built on deep industry partnerships, data-driven decision-making, and disciplined execution.
You will also shape a service-oriented supply chain organization—one that anticipates needs, solves problems before they surface, and provides exceptional support to engineering, programs, production, and mission operations. This leader will recruit, develop, and empower a world-class team of supply chain managers, subcontract managers, and purchasing professionals who understand that their work exists to enable the entire company to deliver.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and execute a supply chain strategy that enables production at scale, supports rapid delivery timelines, ensures compliance, and strengthens long-term resilience across the portfolio.
- Build strategic partnerships across the space, aerospace, and defense industrial base, enabling access to critical components, accelerating lead times, and supporting modular, volume-production architectures.
- Lead demand planning, inventory management, and procurement operations to support predictable, high-tempo production schedules.
- Develop a data-driven operating system—establish key performance metrics, dashboards, and reporting mechanisms that provide real-time insight to senior and executive leadership.
- Own supplier and subcontractor relationships, ensuring quality, reliability, competitive cost, and aligned production capability.
- Drive continuous improvement by analyzing performance trends, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing corrective actions.
- Ensure regulatory compliance including AS9100, ITAR, DFARS, and FAR-aligned process and policy requirements.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, programs, production, and finance to ensure supply chain readiness supports program milestones and budgets.
- Establish risk-management frameworks, ensuring robust mitigation plans and continuity for critical-path materials.
- Build, mentor, and scale a high-performing supply chain organization, setting expectations for ownership, accountability, and service excellence.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
- 8+ years of progressive supply chain leadership experience, ideally within aerospace, defense, or advanced technology manufacturing.
- Demonstrated success building supplier and subcontractor partnerships in fast-paced, complex environments.
- Deep understanding of supply chain best practices including contracts, negotiations, procurement, logistics, inventory control, and demand planning.
- Strong proficiency with supply chain and ERP systems; able to build data structures and reporting tools that drive decisions.
- Experience with regulatory frameworks including AS9100, ITAR, DFARS, and FAR-aligned contracting environments.
- Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and cross-functional collaboration abilities with a service-and-support mindset.
- Highly analytical, results-oriented, with relentless ownership and a bias for action.
- Proven ability to build, lead, and scale a high-performing team.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Extensive experience in the space industry, including understanding of spacecraft integration supply chains, volume-production constraints, and space-qualified hardware.
- Hands-on expertise in vertical integration strategies—make/buy analyses, insourcing plans, and aligning internal capabilities with long-term product roadmaps.
- Strong background in supplier quality management including PPAP, key characteristic control, root-cause analysis, and supplier corrective-action systems.
- Formal training or certification in Six Sigma, Lean, or similar continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience establishing domestic supply paths for high-reliability electronics, propulsion components, structures, and other aerospace-critical subsystems.
- Demonstrated ability to operate within a fast-growing startup environment while maintaining structure, discipline, and high standards.
