Carrier Procurement Analyst
About the Role
The Procurement Analyst is responsible for supporting carrier procurement activities across Mexico and Cross-Border operations. This role focuses on carrier sourcing, supplier development, market analysis, and cost optimization to build a competitive carrier network while supporting business growth and operational excellence.
What the Candidate Will Do
- Support carrier sourcing initiatives and bidding events.
- Identify, onboard, and develop new carrier partners.
- Analyze transportation market trends, capacity, and pricing to support procurement decisions.
- Negotiate transportation rates and support contract execution.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and support network optimization initiatives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with carrier partners.
- Monitor carrier performance and support Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs).
- Partner with Operations, Capacity, Pricing, and Sales to support customer opportunities and carrier strategies.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives through data analysis and market intelligence.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics or a related field.
- 1–2 years of experience in Procurement, Transportation, Logistics, or Supply Chain.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving & attention to detail skills.
- Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Advanced English (written and verbal).
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Transportation Procurement or Carrier Management.
- Knowledge of transportation market trends and strategic sourcing.
- Experience with Tableau, dashboards, and reporting tools.
- Experience working with TMS platforms.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.
- Results-oriented with the ability to work under pressure.
- Willingness to travel to the U.S. as business needs require.
