About the Role:
We are currently seeking a Custodian of Records to support our Vendor Management Team. In this role you'll be interacting with the internal Collections teams and Vendors, providing exceptional service while facilitating the proper management of records in their area.
What You’ll Do:
- Ability to testify on behalf of Upgrade in a courtroom setting
- Perform affidavit signings, record creation, maintenance, and protection
- Ability to record keep and assist with clerical duties
- Ability to prioritize, organize, release, or withhold records
- Develop written procedures for file organization, establish measures for protecting confidential information, and develop documentation for department-specific systems
- Records management policies and procedures
- Apply a records/retention schedule and preserve, transfer, and destroy records per those schedules
- Assist with developing public information
- Establish the authenticity of the organization's documents and provide information about their creation and maintenance to allow for their admission into evidence
- Protect data under their care to avoid penalties under federal and state privacy laws
- Provide thorough and accurate documentation to customer accounts through Upgrade communication channels
- Contribute daily to the improvement of our department and support of the Vendor Management Team
- Maintain superior quality assurance results

- Up to 25% travel required
What We Look For:
- Bachelor's or Associate's degree preferred
- Prefer active notary or someone willing to obtain a notary public certification
- Excellent written and verbal communication combined with analytical and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility and ability to adapt to business needs
- Willingness to travel and make court appearances, testifying under oath to the truthfulness and veracity of the records
- Willingness to sign and attest to the authenticity of records on affidavits for litigation proceedings
- Previous experience in a customer service, sales, or finance industry
- Working knowledge of FDCPA and FCRA experience
- Team player seeking a fast-paced and challenging environment
