The opportunity

As a Product Designer at Urban Sports Club, you're on a mission to shape the user experience for our valued members, partners, and corporate clients.

The way you operate involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams, fostering the creation of digital solutions that go past mere functionality to elevate the holistic user experience. By joining these initiatives, you play a direct and influential role in achieving the overarching business objectives of Urban Sports Club. You own the design process end-to-end, collaborating with cross-functional partners in continuous discovery, definition, design, and delivery. You ensure business goals and key objectives inform and guide user-centric innovative solutions. Your designs bring to life products that do not only engage and delight users but also drive the business forward through heightened engagement, satisfaction, and loyalty.

What you will do

  • Drive the enhancement of our web and mobile apps through intuitive and user-centered design solutions.
  • Own and iterate on design solutions based on user feedback, usage analytics, and usability testing.
  • Work collaboratively with product managers to align design decisions with business goals and stakeholder expectations.
  • Utilize your design skills to create prototypes, wireframes, and visual designs that effectively communicate your ideas.
  • You will contribute to building and maintaining our design system component library. Bonus points if that includes basic knowledge of frontend code.

What you'll need to succeed

  • You have at least 6 years of experience as a Product Designer, including 2 years in a Senior Product Designer role.
  • You prefer a hybrid work model and will enjoy meeting with the team twice a week at our Amsterdam office.
  • You own a strong portfolio showcasing your design thinking, problem-solving skills, and real-world impact in both B2B and B2C applications.
  • Figma is your go-to tool for designing, prototyping, and collaborating.
  • You conduct research and usability testing with ease, and know how to turn feedback into better user experiences.
  • You have been working with agile methodologies and you own the design process end-to-end.
  • You demonstrate data-driven decisions in your design solutions, and you are used to grabbing usage metrics directly from Google Analytics, Looker, and similar applications.

What's in it for you

  • Free Urban Sports Club L Pro Membership + Friends and Family Discount: Stay active with free membership, plus discounts for friends and family.
  • Flexible Work Model: Enjoy a hybrid work setup, balancing on-site and remote work options to fit your lifestyle.
  • Extended Remote Work Options: Work up to 120 days remotely within the EU, the UK, and Switzerland, including 30 days outside the EU. You’ll also have the option to desk-swap at our other European offices.
  • WorkOUT Life Balance: Take advantage of 30 days of paid vacation annually, plus two additional days for volunteering, flexible working hours, and complimentary access to our mental health provider Open Up.
  • Personal Development: Receive an annual budget of €1,000 for professional growth, with regular internal training sessions and weekly German and English language classes.
  • Engaging Team Culture: Participate in regular team and company events along with wellness initiatives that help you stay productive, healthy, and engaged in a hybrid work environment.

Urban Sports Club is committed to providing a friendly, safe, and welcoming environment for everyone who applies for a position or already works with us, regardless of their sports preferences, gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, age, or religion (or lack thereof).
