In general, the Project Manager SME leads all aspects of a project and the participants and is responsible for delivering on time and on budget the project for the client

Senior Project Manager/ PM SME Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain detailed project schedules, including work breakdown structures (WBS), activities, milestones, and dependencies via the following schedule of events for Multi-use line with Isolator 9 formats:
    • FAT completed April 2025
    • Equipment arrival on-site: 01JUL2025
    • Installation: through August 2025
    • Commissioning: through November 2025
    • SAT: through December 2025
    • Qualification: December 2025 / January 2026
    • Cycle Development: January 2026
    • Handover to customer: February 2026
  • Direct internal project scope of work, budget, timeline, and change orders in partnership with Client PMs (ISO, Fill line) until handover to service
    • Coordinate with project teams to ensure alignment between project plans and execution
  • Perform and communicate critical path analysis to identify schedule risks and propose mitigation strategies
  • Monitor and update schedule with progress data, including actual start/finish dates, percent complete, and resource utilization and make adjustments together with client and customers.
  • Organize resources for scheduled activities, leading resource planning across project teams and leveling to optimize project efficiency
  • Monitor daily activities to ensure team is working on target and communicate any challenges or delays along with potential solutions.
  • Generate and distribute scheduled reports, such as Gantt charts, resource histograms, and earned value analysis; daily to client project teams and management and weekly to customers
  • Monitor schedule variances, delays, and impacts, providing recommendations for recovery plans as needed
  • Ensure compliance with company scheduling standards and industry best practices
  • Support baseline schedule development and manage change control processes for schedule updates
  • Function as PM SME and participate as a member of the client US PM team during weekly calls and share knowledge, lessons learned, challenges

Requirements:

  • Strong preference for MES/Pharma experience
  • Minimum 12 years of demonstrated successful experience in project management and scheduling
  • Proven ability to solve problems creatively
  • Strong knowledge and usage of with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices
  • Experience seeing projects through the full life cycle
  • Strong interpersonal skills and extremely resourceful
  • Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline
  • Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Certification such as PMP, PMI-SP, or Oracle Primavera P6 certification is preferred
  • Ability to work independently and lead teams under tight deadlines
  • Demonstrated time management and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

This role is a hybrid position with 60% on-site presence required in Carlsbad, CA

The actual salary is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs, market demand, and competitive market practice. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This salary range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
