This role will support the configuration and validation of complex lab automation systems including robotic arms, liquid handlers, and storage systems. The role requires expertise in software setup, system configuration documentation, and support of qualification activities across GxP systems.
Laboratory Automation Engineer Responsibilities:
- Configure and verify systems such as Hamilton STAR liquid handlers, HRB robotic systems, and plate washers
- Author and execute configuration specifications and system administration work practices
- Lead PC configuration, user management setup, and interfacing to IT infrastructure
- Draft and support execution of grouped and individual Data Integrity test scripts (audit trail, user access, configuration)
- Collaborate with commissioning and validation teams on FAT/SAT and IOQ/PQ alignment
- Support loop check execution and manage version-controlled configuration baselines.
Requirements:
- Experience with automated lab systems (e.g., Hamilton STAR, Cellario, integrated robotic platforms)
- Familiarity with documentation such as DI specifications, configuration verification protocols, and traceability matrices
- Proven capability with Windows OS configuration in validated environments and automation system interfaces
- 5+ years of role relevant experience
- Team player
- Excellent communication skills
- Capacity to make independent sound decisions and independently manage priorities
- Obvious business maturity and interpersonal skills to be able to effectively communicate and collaborate with others
- Experience with and tolerance for high levelsof challenge and change

The actual salary is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs, market demand, and competitive market practice. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This salary range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
