Position Overview

As a Senior Project Manager NYC – Government Solutions, you will play a key role in providing world class support to our external client and internal teams by managing the end-to-end implementation of the NYCDOT technical programs, and ensuring they are delivered in a timely manner. No challenge will be too big, and no issue will go unsolved! You are responsible for tracking the status of all programs / projects as assigned by working with different stakeholders, managing customer expectations, providing status reports to management, active risk and issue management, and drive risks/issues/actions to closure. You will create and manage project plans, communicate schedules with different stakeholders and ensure successful delivery of all projects and expected client outcomes. You will work in a highly collaborative environment with a team that is geographically distributed. You will adhere to agile software development processes accepted by the organization. The candidate should have excellent analytical and interpersonal abilities and always look to streamline processes and bring in efficiencies. Performs other duties as required.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Responsible for project management of the NYCDOT client implementation program.
  • Partner with a cross-functional project team to deliver program on time, on budget and according to contractual requirements.
  • Lead workshops with external and internal stakeholders to align on client expectations and business requirements, and develop project plans to drive the implementation of the expected client outcomes.
  • Develop, distribute, and manage consolidated project plans, status reports, dashboards and communicate with external and internal stakeholders.
  • Actively manage risks, issues, actions, and dependencies and communicate to maintain alignment.
  • Partner with the Account Management team to manage customer expectations through concise and timely communication.
  • Compile, track, and report on project financials throughout the client implementation program lifecycle.
  • Work collaboratively with all Verra Mobility staff, customers and suppliers in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effectively manage time and shifting priorities for self and delivery team.

 

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of project management experience in large client project implementations (min. $10 million).
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Computer Engineering, or Management Information Systems Degree required.
  • Project Management Professional Certification (PMP) required.
  • Automated traffic enforcement industry, camera-based intelligent transport systems industry, or similar industry experience desired.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Able to communicate, build relationships and collaborate with a diverse range and level of external and internal stakeholders.
  • Experience in managing projects and schedules using Microsoft Project. Outcome oriented and capable of meeting deadlines. Strong project control and organizational skills and qualities.
  • Must understand the agile development methodology, applicable roles, and processes. Experienced in Agile Scrum Software Development practices and tools.
  • Strong problem-resolution, and analytical skills.
  • Experience in coaching, leading and influencing others.
  • Adaptable, flexible, and willing to embrace constant change.
  • Experienced with MS Office products like Excel, PowerPoint to generate reports and dashboards.
